But in general I think Cazorla is much more scared of contact than he was in the first few weeks. At the start he was putting up with the kicks but now it seems he is maybe shying away a bit more. Case in point - that spectacular volley from the Oxlade cross. He might well have buried that if he decided to RVP it.
There's definite hypocrisy in the media for sure (Ridgwell's dive a few weeks back got zero coverage, as does the dives of players like Gerrard, Lampard etc). However, it's pretty embarrassing when one of our own takes a dive like that, when there's no contact. I'm not particularly bothered if he exaggerated any contact, but when the defender doesn't even touch you, going down and pretending to be hurt isn't within the spirit of the game.Quote:
