I was thinking all about cars and technology during the race. What the fuck are we going to do when petrol driven cars are a thing of the past? That's the way it's going. No more screaming engines, flames shooting out of the exhausts, oil, fumes or any of the things that make motor sport what it is and has always been. Just emotionless, silent, stupid fucking toy cars with batteries. But if we took the simple step of killing everyone connected with the green movement the world could be saved, but we won't even do that one simple thing.
The formula E championship starts soon. That's the future of F1. A future I'm not really interested in.
Have you ever been to the Goodwood Festival of Speed? Watching old F1, group B rally cars, endurance racers from the 80s climb the hill as they split your ear drums. Classic works of art, we'll never see the like again.

Never been, but I'm going to start looking beyond F1 now that it has been ruined. Used to love rallying when I was a kid, think I'll get back into that too.
I miss Le Mans already, miss the extra window on the desktop below the footie. Says something when the footie was muted all day yesterday in favour of the race. Not sure I actually like football and F1 all that much any more, might just be a bad habit.
