Fuck these pussy players.
What a load of bollocks. Now we know what that shitty 1 minute break was all about. Another way for these players to do less, whilst demanding more. What a bunch of girls. Boo-hoo. Big house, fast car, trophy wife and wheelbarrows of cash being flung at them. Playing a game for a living. Must be so hard to take mentally. Good job they don't have to drag themselves out of bed every morning, face the cattle train commute and endure a shitty job just so they can pay the bills and end up with fuck all at the end of the month. The poor little darlings would all be banded up in the loony bin by now.Quote:
EXCLUSIVE: Premier League warned clubs that arranging games during the winter break could damage the mental health of their players...
Let's scrap the winter break. And scrap penalty shoot-outs so they have to play MORE games and actually earn their cash. It's not as if half of them can play anyway. Can't pass, can't cross, can't tackle, can't shoot, can't stay on their feet for five seconds and think nothing of cheating at every opportunity. And some of them get paid more in a week than Best and Charlton earned in their careers.
Poor loves. Please, tell us, apart from the ludicrous ticket prices, the £100 kits, the multiple, expensive subscriptions to watch on TV - what else can the fans do for you? Maybe we could sing them to sleep at night to ease their troubled minds?

Just had a thought - if replays are scrapped maybe they could keep the underdog thing alive by saying that for cup ties, the team that's placed higher always has to play at the ground of the lower-placed team.
Lower teams would say fuck that though as they don't get the benefit of gate receipts from the bigger stadiums.
I am not in any way going to pretend that is a romantic notion but it is what the lower league clubs see as vital for them.
I think the clubs need to stop whining about replays. It's far better now than it used to be. That tie with Liverpool. :haha:
