Arsene Wenger could miss first ever Arsenal game on Sunday as club try to fast-track disciplinary hearing | @JWTelegraph https://t.co/hlmBA6oSiS
FA
Thank you
Arsene Wenger gets three game touchline ban and £40,000 fine
Can we appeal.and get it extended to 10 games? Or could they make it a stadium ban with no contact with the players for a month.
I can’t stand Wenger but the FA have some explaining to do. The decisions have been bullshit and deserve an explanation. Wenger made a good point about no English ref being invited to the World Cup despite being the one of two countries that has professional referees.

Story about the Stepanovs signing in this video (at about 7:25), signed because players were winding him up
Yes, fairly recently.

Most were full time asswipes.
For some reason I liked Paul Durkin, he seemed fairly even handed and unpretentious. There was also the one guy who dared to issue red cards at OT. but was soon not heard from again. His name escapes me. Edit: Alan Wiley.
Durkin was a decent referee
For the most part I don’t mind Michael Oliver but he had an absolute stinker during the 2016 fa cup final
I'm sure Wenger's inspirational presence on the touchline will really be missed by the players.
The one thing that is never tolerated is pointing out how corrupt they are. They always come down like a ton of manure to snuff out even a suggestion of the truth.
100% corruption in the league in some way, shape or form.
There's been corruption in Italy, Germany and France. The premier league is the biggest and richest league. You'd be naive to think there's no corruption.
I think the issue is referees are treated as holy cows in footballing circles. To be punished you have to make such a stupendously glaring error.
And as a result, they feel like they are above reproach
In terms of Arsenal I don’t think there is any overt corruption, I mean why bother....who would actually bother paying off referees to give decisions against us.
For refereees it’s all about perception. If Stoke are seen as a robust team, it’s in keeping with that that the mindset in a referees mind will be to overlook their more blatant acts of thuggery.
Where as we have the reputation of being pussies therefore if we are robust the referees immediately come down on us for it
And doubtless there are referees who probably don’t like us, if you’ve been criticised by a club or it’s mansger even subconsciously it will factor into your decision making process.
For me, if a manager has an obligation to do a post match interview why shouldn’t the match official?
Refereeing is at an abysmal level at this country, NQ is right that all too often the refs tend to decide results with their (incorrect) decisions. There's no way it can be considered BLitW until that stops.
The terrible decisions occur in every game for most teams. Didn't a former referee acknowledge the Premier League encourage them to keep games 'exciting'?
One of the other problems is the perception that without controversy we wouldn't have anything to talk about in football.
It will be interesting in our game against Chelsea, as that has VAR in operation.
Although they made a total mess of it in the Confederations Cup.
That was straight up match fixing. Dowd (obviously), and also nasty but unsubstantiated rumours about Rosicky.
But corruption doesn't have to involve bribes and other cash incentives and the players themselves can be the particpants. Several have been investigated for taking bribes (from gambling companies) but it always arrives in a complex flurry and then disappears quietly. Then they make the whole thing a joke with stories about eating pies. Meanwhile, FIFA and UEFA are running the game. Definitely not corrupt to the core. Who would say such a thing?
Sounds like there's some tension behind the scenes now Mislintat and Sanllehi have come in:
http://www.football.london/arsenal-f...enger-14119793
From this I gather:
A) Wenger is finding it tough adjusting to the new set up and having a specialist like Sven in place that knows just as much as him. He probably sees him as a threat. Note the line 'We know the players,” said the Arsenal boss. “We knew every single player in Europe before Sven arrived.'. Once again it seems Wenger is on the defensive and has his guard up, almost dismissing Sven's knowledge and expertise and reasserting his own authority.
B) He refers to it being difficult for Sven to adapt to the new environment too and that it's not been plain sailing. Sven's probably come in and seen how inefficient and out of date our practices are, and how everything is so reliant on an old dinosaur.
Sounds as if it's not all rosy behind the scenes. I think head's and egos will be clashing soon.
And that's exactly what we need.
I'm with Wenger on this. The refs are shit, the authorities and media cover for them. Anyone and everyone can see that, and if they want to fine people for saying it and ban then then it hints at corruption too.
So Asian betting syndicates specifically target us to drop points?
Are there games in this country affected by betting scams, you’d probably have to be naive to think not.
What I’m not buying is that we are in anyway particular victims of this
I think the vast majority of bad decisions is just bad referees, the rest could well be suspect
Not just us. Everyone, I would think. Point spreads, accumulators. I doubt it's club specific. But these guys are organised crime and our clubs are wearing their logos on the fronts of their shirts. And Asians bet on anything. Distance of first throw in, average chalk decay rate ob halfway line after 37 minutes. Gambling nutters. Plus I've always wondered about that cash out/ stay in system. Don't tell me there's not a computer in the background monitoring every aspect second by second. Do I think an automated call could go from the computer to a relay system and onto a linesman's flag? Sure, why not? That's how I'd rig it. Can I prove it. Of course not. Doesn't mean I'm not suspicious, doesn't mean I can't see the patterns. The temptation is just too big. And when you are in the ideal situation of the authorities and the media wanting to be clean at all costs, it's an ideal environment for corruption. Even when they are caught nobody wants to say anything or do anything about it.
The WBA "penalty" was utterly ridiculous. The chav pen slightly less so, but ridiculous nonetheless. These are rather obvious examples of quite blatant cheating but nobody who could make a difference will say that.
Apparently, Dean, being the cunt he is, has admitted he got the penalty call against West Brom wrong.

Arsenal star Alex Iwobi 'partied until 3.30am' on day before Gunners' FA Cup defeat
https://t.co/zRffVyLV57
Was everybody else at this party too?
Hopefully he’s dropped because he’s shite.
Lacks so much technique it’s actually hard to believe he’s made it to the first team.
Another player from the youth team that isn't up to scratch, also sounds like he's unprofessional like Wilshere has been, we teach them well!
Our youth policy has got to be one of the biggest fails in youth project history ever!
Such stories that come from The Sun should be disregarded. It was a 4pm kick off.
This shouldn't be disregarded though. He should be jailed for this.
