I think he'll be on a list.
But he'll be low down.
Not least because he's power hungry and would have the ability to turn the fans against the owners and behind him, should a situation arise. I don't think they'd take that risk.

[Liverpool's search for a new manager has been dealt a fresh blow after Jurgen Klopp made it clear he does not want to leave Borussia Dortmund.Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has already rejected an approach from the Anfield club, who are looking for a successor to Kenny Dalglishhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif following the Scot's sacking on Friday.
Klopp is thought to be one of the 12 candidates who are being targeted by Liverpool,http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif but he is committed to Bundesliga champions Dortmund after leading them to a league and cup double this season.
The German 44-year-old is one of the most promising manager's in Europe after achieving success on a tight budget, but he is under contract at Dortmund for another four years.

The previous Chelseahttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif target said: "I have been made aware of interest from England, and it is an honour to be linked with big clubs in the Premier League.

Sky Sports understands former Denmark star Michael Laudrup is a contender for the vacant manager's job at Liverpool.Liverpoolhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif have begun their search for a new boss following the board's decision to axe Kenny Dalglishhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif earlier this week.
The Reds are believed to have a shortlist of up to 12 people they want to talk to about succeeding Dalglish at Anfield.
Wigan's Roberto Martinez has already been given permission to enter discussions with Liverpool, while Swansea chief Brendan Rodgers declined the opportunity to hold talks with the Merseyside giants.
Danish icon Laudrup is thought to be in the frame for the post, with the 47-year-old believed to be keen to try his luck in England.
Former Barcelonahttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif and Real Madridhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif star Laudrup is highly-regarded in Europe as one of the best young managers around with his brand of exciting attacking style of play.
Laudrup worked as Morten Olsen's assistant with the Danish national side before he took charge of Brondby in 2002.
After four successful seasons, he left Brondby for Getafe,http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif leading them to the final of the Copa del Reyhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif and the quarter-finals of the old UEFA Cup.
Laudrup has since had spells with Spartak Moscowhttp://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif and Real Mallorca,http://static.lingospot.com/spot/image/spacer.gif who he left last September.
Laudrup has been linked with a move to England in the past and the Dane is thought to have admirers inside the corridors of power at Anfield as they look to bring in a new man to get the club back on track.

LIVERPOOL have made Ajax boss Frank de Boer their No 1 target.De Boer has shot to the top of their wanted list after winning successive Dutch titles.
Liverpool contacted the former Holland defender in the last 48 hours and he has asked for time to consider their approach.
The move will come as a shock to Roberto Martinez, who was given permission by Wigan to speak to the Anfield club following the sacking of Kenny Dalglish.
De Boer is considered the Dutch Pep Guardiola and is widely regarded as one of Europe’s most talented coaches.
Liverpool have targeted the 42-year-old because he has the knack of providing instant success.
He took over from current Fulham boss Martin Jol in December 2010 and, within 18 months, had rebuilt the Ajax team and won two titles.
As a player, De Boer won 112 caps, played for 10 years at Ajax and five seasons at Barcelona.
He also had a spell at Glasgow Rangers.
But Liverpool will face a battle to land their man as Ajax want to keep him.
And has duly said "honoured, but not yet". But of course has been spun to a 'snub'.
Looking more and more as if it will be Martinez or Villas Boas. Rafa to make a late dash?
Liverpool snubbed again.
:haha:
Wait theres more this ones a Screamer.

Didier Deschamps has dismissed speculation linking him with the vacant manager's job at Liverpool, revealing that he expects to continue as manager of Marseille next season.
Marseille finished 10th.
I'm sure we'll cope without him.
He doesn't even mention Liverpool. In that case he's snubbed Chelsea too. And Villa. And Hull.
Frank de Boer in massive snub to LFC.
Just heard N_Q snubbed Liverpool too.
Liverpool :haha:.
well the media set up the 'drama' with the magic list of options, pose the questions to said managers to use to drag the story on until Liverpool end it - and then the next one...
hopefully you get in martinez, who given time (big ask of the fans) can improve your league form.

:haha:
Just embarrassing.
Justice for the fatty shit IMO.
Don't be giving anyone any ideas.
Anyway, AVB has been made coach and van Gaal as sporting director. For about the 5th day running.
It's a bit of a lose-lose situation with the owners. They have to get rafa in. There's nobody else that Liverpool could feasibly get that the fans would give a fighting chance. Yes rafa would bleed the resources a bit but either way they're going to get pillared. Tbf to rafa, although he spent a shitload, his player choices weren't bad - got alonso, arbeloa, mascherano, quite a few players who have gone on and done something with their lives. Or maybe I'm looking at it more favourably because we're comparing his deals to kenny's.
I'd hope they just bite the bullet and appoint who they want, not who RAWK want. They tried that with Kenny, rightly imo, and then had to give him a longer contract when things picked up, which was probably the wrong thing, but they couldn't have done anything else.
With most of them it is Rafa or Pep (yep...), noone else, you're right. There is a little bit of revisionism over Rafa, many people are forgetting some of the ludicrous substitutions, tactics, the medium-money flops (many to mention) and those big transfers that didn't work in his later years (Aquilani, Keane) and are only picking out the best bits.
And as I said a few days ago, Rafa has the ability to turn many of the fans against the owners, and I can't see why they'd take that risk. They want a young manager who can have a project to work on for the next few years and an experienced footballing man as a sort of DoF. Hence AVB and van Gaal- I guess the only "confirmation" is that they haven't come out and said no yet.
And then there's the whole stadium situation which will likely mean there isn't £100m to spend every year anyway.
They appoint another fans' choice and inevitably he won't have their 100% backing. And that just won't work.

He knows that club like the back of his Chang.
Dave Whelan  confirms Martinez is meeting with the Yanks in Miami today.
He's doing his best to put Martinez off the job...
Martinez will have a tough task to appease the inevitable lukewarm reaction to him if he's appointed.

Either that's a fake or they're auditioning for Miami Vice.

I give Martinez 6 months before he's sacked because the scouse fans won't back him.
Disclaimer: Martinez may not get the job.
