Liverpool legend Dossena is back in England
Dossena (yep, that one) to Sunderland?
Something tells me Di Canio is therefore only just getting started with his public character assassinations of his players...
OZIL !!!!!!!!!!!!!
:haha:Quote:
Alan: Can someone teach the Manchester United board how minimum buyout clauses work? Can't get the Herrera one right and let Fellaini's expire!
Mark Roberts: Rumours are that David Moyes is hanging on for a marquee signing after George Weah rang him about his cousin.
Sessegnon joins WBA.
Who was it on here that rates him?

Spanish football writer Andy West: "Some bizarre reports coming out regarding United's collapsed Herrera deal. Apparently a group of men claiming to be United representatives spent an hour at the La Liga offices in Madrid today, but it turns out they had nothing to do with the club and were presumably just attempting to get a cut of the deal in an elaborate fraud.
More on the Man Utd saga: Men in black suits with suitcases apparently. :haha:
Özil speaks
“I am thrilled to be joining a club of the stature of Arsenal and am looking forward to playing in the Premier League. It will be great for my own personal development as a player and I am particularly looking forward to working with Arsène Wenger.
“From our negotiations it is clear the Club has huge ambition and I look forward to being part of an exciting future.” from the guardian transfer page
Come on Arsene. Now the big one is done, time for a quick trolley dash
Barry arrives at Everton training ground.
20 odd minutes for a striker

Hopefully we are in contention come the January window. This signing on its own is not enough, but if it is a sign of things to come, things could be looking up soon.
Unless Wenfer decides to surprise us again, this is still overall a negligent and quite simply amateurish transfer window. Seems he will remain WUMger.
Ozil is brilliant. But he's definitely a "we've done fuck all so here's one massive coup of a signing that will hopefully more than momentarily make you forget we have a flimsy transfer strategy."
A striker with excellent pedigree and another efficient attacking player was needed. Ozil covers one of those. Considering the current state of the squad, and the ever-flimsy nature of our players, solid back-ups at the back and in midfield were required. Flamini isn't in theory a bad option for one of those requirements.
So two positions fulfilled. But there's the nagging feeling that the positions unfulfilled are where we will suffer over a long season as usual and the fact that the club didn't have the inclination or maybe more worryingly, the ability to negotiate deals successfully with all this supposed money is quite ridiculous.
Now, I wasn't voted second most optimistic poster of the year in 2006/2007 after Cripps on GW for no reason, so I'll go back to my usual Ned Flanders-esque self after this post. But as ever with Arsenal, it feels so nearly near yet so frustratingly far.
Anyway, come on Sanogo, And come on Viviano. And come on Ozil. And come on tennis.
White pretending that news came through on his earpiece there. Do us a lemon son...
We needed more than Ozil.
Have to hope Giroud doesn't get injured or we're fucked
does seem like we shit ourselves when we got Ozil.......crawled back into our safe shell to count the pennies we still have......shame, striker is a big need still

Sheer bizarreness connected with Manchester United’s collapsed move for Ander Herrera. The Press Association takes up the story: “It appeared three United officials had arrived at La Liga headquarters in Madrid to complete the formalities that would allow Herrera to finalise a move to Old Trafford. However, it now seems the trio were imposters and had nothing to do with United at all.”
Who cares. There was a huge chance we'd end up with nothing. We've ended up with Ozil. Don't care if it was a panic buy. We're going to see some genuine world class talent in our shirt again. The norm has been completely reversed. No players sold (apart from the shite) and one of the top players in the world brought in. I'll take it.
We're down to one minute and change!
Still time for us to blow all the money.
