Superb day of PL reffing. When you consider they are going up against the 200K per week players you have to give them credit for being able to grab a game by the scruff of the neck and impose themselves.
Hart's mind games. :haha:
I think it's easy to have a go at refs all the time, but at the end of they day they are making decisions in real time, with 20 outfield players around them and have to keep an eye on everything, it's not easy.
They do make mistakes but they don't have the luxury of replays or of watching it on tv.
Spuds are the best team Carragher has seen this season.
Just make it up from one week to the next.
:( on current form the Spuds are favourites for the title, the sad thing is I knew they would win today, they are bloody relentless. They are not expansive but they just grind out results and are quite clearly capable of winning anywhere. They geniunely worry me.
Leicester beat them a few weeks back and really should have turned them over in the cup but for (yet again) another shambolic refereeing performance in favour of Spurs.
The only thing is, they appear to be winning games by the odd goal, it's not awe-inspiring, and they've been incredibly fortunate with injuries. Their luck will run out. Mark my words.
Hasn't it got to the stage where it's beyond suspicious they don't have the assistance of replays? Why the hell not. What with the spray can and the posturing and yard marking, it takes a full minute for the whole free kick ritual to unfold. Nobody seems to mind the time wasting that goes no. But apparently a 4th official taking a quick look at a replay would delay the game. What with the spectacular failure of goal line tech, which hasn't got a single decision wrong to date, you have to wonder why these strange decisions are still allowed to influence results.
