Vincenzo Iaquinta is available on a free, he's 33 but as a short term option he's worth a punt. Probably a better choice than Marica.

He isn't a 16 year old from the swiss 4th division, he's been playing in the Bundesliga for years and has tons of caps with Romania. He was rated when he first broke through but fell off the radar.

You forgot to mention he made 223 league appearances in those 12 years (with a lot of those appearances off the bench). Putting him on a par with Bendtner as a 1 in 5 striker, except Marica also knows how to control a football. As I said, nothing special but he could tide us over until the January window.

The only crisis is we signed Ozil. A lot of people don't like that. Definitely they would have been happier if we signed Holt or Bent on the cheap, but Ozil has killed a lot of their boilerplate material. "Wenger refuses to spend", "Top players leaving Arsenal", "Arsenal have no ambition", "Levy is not a cunt" - all gone, wiped away by this selfish transfer.

Don't see the point of adding another shitster on our books on a probable 3+ year contract just because he might be marginally better than Bendtner right now. After removing most of the disease, we've got a likeable squad of players with only one scrubber left to eradicate. Let's not double our workload.

Yeah, Dennis Bendtner aside, we have unproven young players now, but no-one truly shit/beyond repair in the squad. Only Vermaelen could fall into one of those categories if he's not careful. I don't include Park because he doesn't exist on this physical plane.
