My feelings too...it worries me because we have form for leaving gaping holes in the squad, look at the Striker situation over the past 2 windows.

They have a plan in place alright. So far we are £15-£17m in the black this summer just by not re-signing ex players.
You don't achieve results like that without planning meticulously.
Sounds like Jackson Martinez has been name-dropping us again - aware of talks, but no concrete offer, has been a gooner since he was a kid, and would definitely say 'yes' if we wanted him. Can't make out if they're new or old quotes though...
Also a bit of gossip around that Real are after James Rodriguez as their big summer signing, and that Di Maria could be the casualty. Don't know how much truth is in that, but it certainly sounds like the sort of bonkers thing Madrid would do - could be this summer's Bale and Özil?
Speaking of Madrid, and going off on a slight tangent, how did Isco and Illamarendi get on there in their first seasons? I've hardly heard them mentioned since they moved there?
They were both seen as the future of Spanish football but not only did they not feature much, they didnt make the world cup squad (not even close).
Great move then.
Would either of them be worth a cheeky bid then, or has their stock fallen so low over the last year that we wouldn't be interested any more?
Spain have a plethora of players in their positions so I wouldn't read too much into their absence from the World Cup squad, given how badly Spain bombed it will be guys like Isco and Illamarendi who they'll look to now. Very unrealistic targets tbh.
Isco and Illamarendi featured a fair amount for Real, they won't be sold.
