Allen was the poster boy for Swansealona's style of play. Not sure how he'll do at Liverpool but Rodgers must know a bit more about him than most. Hefty price though and with that comes a lot of expectation.

£15m for allen? if you told a liverpool fan in 2006 after their champions league victory that they'd be going for players like charlie adam, henderson and allen then they'd have laughed. from mascherano, alonso, gerrard and kuyt to the pile of crap they have now.
i know i might be biased but we got podolski - a proven experienced international player - for less than that. utd got kagawa for roughly the same amount of money. they need to hit the international market. british players aren't worth the money.
the risk with a domestic manager was always the idea he may not know the international market well enough so ends up buying average, overpriced domestic players. for liverpool i think that theory may prove right come the end of next season.
