Following the AGM as an information gathering exercise is pointless. It is staged and scripted from start to finish.

Well we bought Chambers :doh:Quote:
The really interesting point was when a fan came to the mike and slagged off the situation in which we sold Vermaelen and didn’t buy in a defender.
If people are going to stand up and speak at these AGM's at least say something useful FFS.
Why the fuck didn't we re-sign Cesc when he's better than any of our midfielders would've been a better question. If it meant we'd have to sell Ozil then so be it.
He wanted a CB then saw Chambers played brilliantly there in preseason so he went into complete Dr Dolittle mode and thought 'hey I don't need another CB, Chambers can cover there'.
But 2 weeks into the season we've got a load of injuries and suspensions and he's realised 'fuck, this didn't work out', so gave some bullshit answer about how he couldn't find a CB so will get one in the next window.
That sounds about right. The cheapskate in him saw the '2 for the price of 1' sticker and he couldn't help himself. He decided to take a gamble and thought we'd cope since he was already testing Chambers and Monreal as CB's in pre-season.
If he couldn't find the required quality in the Summer, won't it be even more difficult to buy in January?
Orwell couldn't have done better. That's the cuddliest definition of nepotism I have seen in years. It does seem these gents have lurched into life now the business model is bearing fruit. Shame, considering the owners haven't dipped into their pockets once if you exclude the indecent payoff to the outgoing leeches. It's purely business then, and in any normal business that would be okay. But this isn't normal business, it's football hijacked by business. Nothing normal about it at all, even if has become the norm.Quote:
Keswick also claimed that the appointment of Kroenke's son Josh as a non-executive director in December 2013 "underlines the long-term commitment to the club from Stan Kroenke and KSE"
