What happens when you increase the number of teams/incorporate a format where even 3rd place can go through for the cash. Shit teams can park the bus and hope for a flukey win

Fitting really. Because that's how European football is now. There's so much money floating around the football has become a secondary factor. Managers too. Most are negative, boring farts. They don't look to win, the set up to avoid losing. And that's bound to have a profoundly negative impact on the game.
