This is surely set-up too perfectly for another glorious failure by Scotland.
Three added minutes.
Scotland win! :faint:
Spain v Scotland is on BBC2 on Tuesday
Live football on the BBC :faint:
They are back
During Football Focus Dan Walker said that Arteta would be in the studio for the Spain game.
First time...I think ever - I'll be supporting the Scots. They will of course get humiliated though which is my second choice.
No valiant efforts please...either Scotland kick their way to crippling Spain and winning or Spain net double-figures.
What's the deal with play-offs in Euro qualifying?
I remember campaigns where the 2nd place team has qualified automatically. Then I also remember we had a play-off with Scotland for Euro 2000.
And yeah, 'mon the Jocks. The banter would be good next summer if they were there, along with Ireland.
More internationals. It's what the average fan wants.
If Scots make the play offs, you'd have to say they have a decent chance of winning them cos none of the other teams in them are likely to be the big ass countries
This is Scotland we're talking about. Someone out there will make a last minute dive to deny them in the play-offs.
You make a good point.
If they do make it to next summer, we should bring Marc back for the duration
A non-tournament international match live on the BBC? Zuh
I don't think it's the start of a common trend, unfortunately.
Eck and Arteta as the pundits. No Hansen, but then considering the two sides today are neutral nations for him it's not much of a surprise..
Is Eck pissed?
There are the Tartan Army. Never knowingly self-stereotyping
Valdes starts for Spain.
Was reported Casillas would sit this out so he can equal the Spanish Caps record v England
This is also on BBC website so might watch this on that and stick to the Irish game on tv
The Spanish players are refusing to sing the national anthem again.
:Tyldesley:
Spain: Valdes, Sergio Ramos, Puyol, Pique, Jordi Alba, Xavi, Busquets, Silva, Santi Cazorla, Villa, Pedro.
Subs: Casillas, Javi Martinez, Torres, Mata, Arbeloa, Llorente, Thiago.
Scotland: McGregor, Hutton, Berra, Caldwell, Bardsley, Morrison, Fletcher, Adam, Bannan, Mackail-Smith, Naismith.
Subs: Marshall, Whittaker, Cowie, Robson, Forrest, Goodwillie, McManus.
Referee: Stefan Johannesson (Sweden)
Not a bad bench for Spain really. Ignoring Torres, of course.
For all of Spains talents, LB isnt what id say a very strong position
Tine for Jose Enrique tbh
Reina .
Can't even oust Valdes.
Lawro is co-commentating.
And tbf, Spain can probably afford to be weak (comparitively weak that is) in the fullback area.
"David De Gea doesn't even make the squad yet" - Mowbray.
Well duh.
Tbf De Gea is quality and arguably their next full time number 1 after Casillas
Anyway more importantly, no Rosicky for Czechs in the squad
Dead again?
Spain 1-0 Scotland, David Silva.
Just brilliant.
McGregor :rose:
1-0 Spain
Silva
Could be double figures here
Over to you then Lithuania...
0-1 Czech Republic, Kadlec pel.
Kadlec penalty
Scotland
Great chance for Scotland there.
Time to bring Archie Gemmill on.
McGregor saves from Cazorla.
This one could get ugly in a hurry.
