Rumours about our fans doing the poznan while it's happening.
I hope not.
We should be really classy about it, then Rosicky should put RvC into row Z in the first 5 minutes and then we'll go on to win 3-0, simples.
I'm actually looking forward to this game now. We can afford to lose it and I fully expect us to so anything from this game is a massive bonus, including a draw.
Of course my mood will change as soon as RVP scores and I'll switch it off.
How do you figure we can afford to lose it?
Not Judas I'm worried about, tbh. It's complete and utter turds like Welshit, Anderson, Valencia, Youngy, et al, all looking world class against us.
I'd prefer to win on Sunday.
Well yes, of course.
They already have a game in hand over us. They have 5 games left each. We have 4 games and if we lose on Sunday and they both win this weekend they'll be ahead of us with a game in hand. The fact the game in hand is against each other is neither here nor there, they'll both be above us already...
Aye but if we lose on Sunday then beat QPR and Wigan it'll be in our hands on the final day. I think mathematically we can afford to lose but it would mean anymore slip ups would be fatal.
Letters is correct. They both win this weekend and we lose, then either losing their game in hand against each other won't be enough for us to get top 4. Once again, our fate isn't in our own hands - apart from having to win all our remaining games after the weekend to give ourselves a chance on the final day of the season.
Luckily, we have a predisposed bottling scum team (though AVB seems to have worryingly instilled a tad bit of belief over at the swamp), and an agent in the form of a Spanish waiter marshalling the chavs, making it highly probable that we'll finish 3rd again this season.
In that case: :rose:
Easiest way to think about it is to pretend they've played their game in hand against each other and both lost.
Impossible, obviously, and better than any real scenario but let's just pretend.
If we lose this weekend, Chelsea and Spurs win.
Spurs are a point ahead of us, Chelsea 2 points. We all have 3 games left. Not in our hands.
But I expect all 3 sides to drop points before the end of the season. Wigan are fighting for their lives and may do us a favour, Chelsea still have to go to Utd, we're little bit shit.
We'll win all our remaining games.
....Plus we have Wenger.
Cripps.
We are coming 5th.. thats all that needs to be said and discussed. This will be the season we bottle it!
We'll finish 5th and then an eagle eye reporter will notice the spuds transgressed some obscure law governing the distance between the goalposts and the sidelines or the shape of the penalty spot and they'll be docked just enough points for us to grab 4th on equal goal difference but with one more (offside) goal scored. This triumph will herald a quiet summer.
Our summers are quite regardless..
Needs to play The Ox through the middle tomorrow.
Also, podolski might get 10 or 15 minutes if he's lucky.
I believe I showed a flexibility last week in my substitutions.
I did not wait until the 68th minute.
I waited until the 70th minute instead.
I have made 76980866855654634 substitutions in my career.
My brain hurts but even after Spurs dropped points I still don't think it's in our hands if we lose tomorrow. :(
It wouldn't mathematically be in our hands however Spurs would need to win at Chelsea to stay above us, which is a huge task for them.
This would so much easier if we could just pull a top result out the bag tomorrow, the team owe us one.
*sigh*
Come on Arsenal :scarf:
:(
Good idea to arrive late so I miss the humiliating guard of honour?
RVP will be returning as a champion.
I for one will be pleased to see him at the Emirates again.
:haha:
:haha:
RvC was on his way to the champions bank...
