Sir Ches and Jack absolutely trolling the spuds
Feels bloody lovely to get one over Maureen for the first time. The specialist in failure ended up winning more than you, mug.
It wasn't a vintage performance but we were worthy winners, unquestionably. I watched some highlights compilations this morning to see how it looked in the cold light of day (being relaxed rather than having my nerves shredded!) and really, after the early Hull storm, it was all Arsenal. Not all the chances we had were clear cut like the Gibbs miss, but we certainly created more and as the game wore on, we kept creating them. Giroud had some shots besides hitting the bar and Sanogo was almost in at least once, and so on. Hull were largely restricted to that early spell of set pieces and the extraordinary error from Fabianski, unless you count Huddlestone's two long shots that were well hit but always rising. We didn't play well, and some guys were more off it than others but we got the job done - there wasn't anything lucky about it. It was hard work on the day but it was a deserved triumph. Fair play to Hull for making it such an exciting contest.
Wenger has come under a lot of stick over his tactics and people have described it, probably fairly, as the weakest part of his game. However he deserves credit for getting his substitions right in this final. Not just Sanogo for Podolski but also bringing on Rosicky and Wilshere for that final push at the death. Good calls, so he deserves as much credit as the players for turning this final around.
As for the referee, I don't think he had an especially good game. Steve Bruce complained about our two set pieces. He was certainly wrong about the first but he was right that the corner wasn't a corner. However I find it hard to have sympathy because they moved their set piece for the second goal forwards by 9 yards and we had multiple penalty appeals turned down. The appeals varied in strength but it's absurd that we didn't get any of them, we should have had at least the two on Cazorla. So it balances out, or maybe not since my suggestion is they got the easier ride from the ref.
However that isn't worth dwelling on because we won anyway and quite rightly so. Good work guys :scarf:
Fuhk me we did it! get in!!!!!!!!
On a serious note we really need to do something about our piss poor starts before next season - it can't go on. Even Wenger has to realise that it's not been a coincidence. If that had been Liverpool or Chelsea yesterday the chances are that we would have been even further behind and unlikely to have made the comeback we did. Thank fuck Hull are a bit shit.
Also, how fucking fat is Steve Bruce these days? I knew he was always carrying a few pounds too many but blimey ....... you could see his shirt struggle to keep his enormous gut in yesterday. What's he eating up in Hull?

The original broadcast of it was pretty shit and I turned it off, as it just showed aerial footage of the bus and nothing else.
Is there any reason your mascot is a green dinosaur?
Or is it just... because.
