Rooney is total shit. But they'll never, ever, admit it.
Welbeck's lovely smile just took one hell of a beating.
No red? Why ever not?
Pen as well. Not given. Awful ref, as usual.
Rooney :haha:
Rooney is a disgrace! Awful player.
What pictures are the commentators looking at, pen all day long
Headline will be "Rooney leads England to Victory"- a true Captains performance and a world class assist for the assist for the goal scored by a lucky deflection by some guy who was shit.
The captain can't even be bothered to jump. Shocking performance from him again.
Really poor by Sterling. Plenty of options to sew it up there.
Delph has pretty serious problems with technique.
Danny Welbeck!!!
Welbeck :bow::bow:
LVG :haha::haha:
smile danny smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!
ROON-EEHHHHHHHH!
Fabulous finish!
Welbz.
What a man.
Two games, two wins for Captain Rooney. Three goals. Three assists. 100% record. Can't knock it.
Welé
It would be interesting to see if Welbeck started scoring for you guys and both Sterling and Sturridge continues playing well for us, what it would take to drop Rooney.
My guess is a miracle.
Rooney is/was a good player. But he does rather stick out in a fast, fluid attack.
Wilshere isn't a holding player. Not yet anyway. Maybe never. I'm not clever enough to make those predictions.
Goal Machine Welbeck.
WUMger knows.
Or Dick Law does.
Big Man was one of the pundits for Spain v Macedonia.
Spain won 5-1.
Matt Law :haha:
Can you imagine if shrek had bagged two? But that's not even the funniest rating.Quote:
Danny Welbeck
In front of Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis, Welbeck wasted a great situation by passing to nobody after racing into the penalty area. But he made up for it by getting on the scoresheet from Sterling’s cross and killed the game with a late second. 7
Wayne Rooney
Wasted two first-half chances by shooting straight at Sommer and heading wide from a Baines cross. The striker saw another shot well saved, but made the breakaway from which England went ahead. 7
Cahill MOTM then. But only just because...Quote:
Gary Cahill
Superb saving block to stop Drmic equalising after he had rounded Hart. Cahill was dominant in the air against Seferovic and cool in possession. An impressive performance from the Chelsea defender. 9
Quote:
Joe Hart
Once again showed his class by making a wonderful save with his foot from Seferovic that stopped Switzerland taking the lead. Hart also kept out a powerful volley from the striker. 8/10
John Cross :haha: :haha:
This is getting like politics. Reality happens in plain view then the reverse becomes official.Quote:
Danny Welbeck: 7 His pace is such a threat and priceless opening goal lifted the whole mood for England.
Wayne Rooney: 8 Full of energy, work rate and desire. Led counter attack for Welbeck's opener. Man of the match.
i don't hate to admit this, Welbeck was the best player on the pitch for England, not just the two goals that were really well taken as neither of them were easy opportunities but actually must made to look easy. But his general play, he was strong, won the ball well, distributed the ball well and after starting too deep pushed himself forward and put himself in great positions where Raheem Sterling should have found him.
Also yes i think Cahill was excellent too, we really missed a trick in not signing him....
The Daily Fail is a bit handicapped by having a footballer doing the ratings. Two goals sways it in this case - what does Martin Keown know that the experts don't?
Quote:
WAYNE ROONEY: Showed good touches, reliable in possession and did well to drive forward and release Sterling for the goal. 6.5
DANNY WELBECK: Seems like his move to Arsenal has instantly given him the confidence to be the main striker. 8
He was the best of a bad bunch at the back, barring Hart who was (gulp) pretty decent. Stones out of his depth completely, Baines can't defend anyway and is a winger, Jones was a disaster. Cahill made some strong challenges but several errors too, including a shank into his own six yard box that fortunately didn't fall to the opposition.
The Independent (LOL) has Rooney tops as well, level with Welbeck who (you know) did that cross that didn't find its target. The only cross in the game that wasn't accurate. Two goals and 3 points in the hardest game England will face in the group almost makes up for it. Almost.
Meanwhile, Rooney did that pass to some player who passed to some other player ended up scoring. It was the pass that was key (if you exclude the other goal), so top marks for Wayne and a MOTM captain's performance.
Well done Wayne. Brilliant stuff as always. Let's build a team around him. A team for the future.
More ratings...
Jimmy Saville - Despite his problems off the pitch Utd's new stalkerstriker looks up for it and is the ideal man to groom this new batch of kids. 9/10 MOTM
Mahatma Gandhi - Arsenal's new boy looks frail and poorly suited, doesn't look the part, even so struggled on and eventually brought down the opposition single-handedly. 763/10
Welbz  .
What a player.
He was genuinely the best outfield player though. He, much like Sanchez, just harries and presses the whole backline constantly. It was obviously headless chicken stuff at United, but is now definitely great play. I hope we take advantage of his pressing and PACE and POWER.
Will Woy use Wilshere at right-back in the next match?
Neil Ashton finally learns how to be restrained (by his standards)
Build him up...Quote:
When Sterling spins off his marker, dropping deep to demand the ball off his centre-halves you know that he is comfortable playing at this level. These deep-lying missions are reminiscent of Zidane or Maradona, the little nuances that separated these two superstars of world football from the mere mortals they counted for team-mates.
Knock him down...
Them's column inches.
Sturridge - Sterling - Welbeck
Rooney dropped.
Has to happen, but won't. Instead...
Some Playa - Rooney - Some Playa
He was the MOTM last night, after all.
John Cross :haha:
Wales qualifier against Andorra - Gareth Bale will play at CF and Ramsey at no.10 apparently. Might be worth watching.
Also a friend who was at St. David's hotel last Tuesday said she met some of the Welsh team after training. Apparently Bale, Ramsey and Ashley Williams were sticking together away from the rest of the peasant squad. But on the plus side Bale actually bothered to explain what the international break was and how it's different from club football. Worst gossip ever but there you go.
Can't wait to get a world record fee for Ramsey.
Andorra one nil up :haha:
Rosicky is such a good player. Such an influential player when setting up attacks.
Andorra 1-1 Wales, Bale.
Even so; Wales. :haha:
Still 1-1. Dear me.
This one result could be enough to stop Wales qualifying.
Watching a stream of this.
Bale is such an incredibly selfish player. He always looks to do things on his own rather than pass to a teammate in a better position.
