Something stinks about this signing.

Whether he was bought for marketing purposes, or whether wenger wasn't altogther complicit in his signing, I dunno. Just seems mighty weird.

Think it was Arseblog who speculated whether this was not actually Wenger's signing and he was therefore refusing to pick him in protest.

It sounds unlikely to me, but even if it were true it's too much like cutting off your nose to spite your face. How bad must he be that you refuse to use him? His scoring rate is still better than Chamakh's this season.

And he was also practically kidnapped from Lille which didn't sit well with them. In theory, if risking annoyance to a potential future supplier for talent (Hazard*) you'd expect the effort to be worthwhile. But so far, nothing - hardly even given a chance.

* this assumes we actually intend to pay £20m+ for player which is probably a pipe dream.

A Wenger signing all the way, the clueless idiot has done this before with Bischoff for example, what a total waste of money signing a player and then not playing him at all.

The board would never go above Wenger's head with signings, after all they had to shell out for him.

I can understand Park's frustration. While I have little idea of how good/bad he is because of his lack of playing time, it has to be incredibly frustrating to be behind the likes of Chamakh.

Oxlade Chamberlain was a talent anyone could see that, in fact if you look at my posts about him I was impressed with him last season and thought he had real ability, it didn't take a genius to see this guy had a special talent (he was brilliant against Man U last season).

Park was cheap and plucked from France, so I think Zim was saying he was a typical signing in that sense.

Ox is more atypical because it's not often we spend big on the next big English hope, whoever that may be at the time.
