I've always been in favour of the tie-break in the final set and this does nothing to change my mind.
Of course, the tie-break would go to 30-28 or something, but at least we'd see the credits roll. The rule has to come in soon, surely?
This has surprisingly been an excellent match for the most part, but at this point it becomes a bit of a chore for everyone.

Or, as McEnroe suggested, go to 10-10 as a limit and then a tie-break. Keeps everyone happy that way.

The problem is, the serve is probably the last thing to tire out, so when the movement has gone along with the ability to return, it’s a long wait with big hitters like this.
I’d be fuming if I had centre court tickets sitting through this with the likelihood of seeing the most anticipated game of the tournament getting further and further away.
