GG was a fantastic manager but his latter years with the Club were getting progressively worse. He also failed to build on his success by not replenishing the squad when needed. He also was no stranger to the panic buy.
But he clearly had something to offer post suspension. Any man who could get that Spurs team to win a trophy was clearly a genius.
