Fabrice Muamaba has retired from football today, sad to see him retire but glad he can spend his life with his wife and kids.
Unsurprising but yeah the most important thing is that he can look forward to the rest of his life.
Don't forget the guy was technically dead for over an hour so I guess every day is a blessing or something i don't know.

Bit that matters

Fixture I am looking forward to the most...
Has to be Arsenal. Everything that is wrong with English football is summed up at that club. A club that appears to have no regard for how it treats its fans in terms of ticket prices in this current economy, a team that appears to have no appetite for developing the talent of English players, a team that appears to pay no particular credence to the gentlemanly laws that prevent feigning contact and one that will not give any credit to another when they are well beaten.
Your face was technically dead for over an hour.
Muamba
Probably the sensible decision.

Stoke
knuckle-dragging fuckwads
Reading that Muamba has had to retire made me think of Hlebs death in football termsQuote:
Alexander Hleb's name is often used as a deterrent for those thinking of leaving Arsenal for 'better things'. Here's what happened to him.
"I love this team, I will give my best and I want to win everything with Barca." - Alexander Hleb's words after arriving at the Nou Camp in 2008 after three seasons at Arsenal.
Sadly for him, Barcelona did not love him back. He spent most of his time on the bench for the Catalan giants, making just five La Liga starts in his debut season.
He had taken a while to get going at Arsenal, and left after his best season at the club. It was a case of striking while the iron was hot, but even so, few expected him to make it as a Barcelona regular, and they were proved right.
He turned down a move to Inter Milan as part of the Samuel Eto'o-Zlatan Ibrahimovic swap deal a year later, electing to sign back on loan with former side Stuttgart.
Frustratingly for the player that move didn't work out either, he struggled for form and scored just one goal, and the Germans even considering ending his loan early they were so disappointed with him.
After heading back to Barcelona and sitting on the sidelines, he found his way back to the Premier League, with Birmingham. It will chasten Arsenal fans that the Belarus international saw his side win silverware against the Gunners in the Carling Cup, but Hleb did not play a part, missing the final through injury.
His time at Birmingham saw him a shadow of the player who starred at Arsenal. He blamed Alex McLeish's negative tactics for him failing to showcase his talents, but in truth Hleb had lost the spark he once had.
That was two years ago, in the time since, his prospects have not improved. Still a Barcelona player last summer, he had to wait until the August transfer deadline day last summer to clinch a loan move back to Germany with Wolfsburg.
It was no better. Injury ruined his spell there, restricting him to making just the one start. He returned to the Nou Camp at the end of 2011, and in January Hleb and Barcelona came to a mutual consesnt agreement to cancel his contract with six months remaining, allowing Hleb to look for a club as a free agent.
He found one, but the player who once turned down a switch to Inter Milan had to settle with signing for Russian club Krylia Sovetov. He made just eight appearances before being released this summer.
Now his career has come full circle, returning to his first club, Belarussian champions BATE Borisov. It may be there he finally finds some consistency and happiness, but at 31 his career has plummeted like a stone in just four years.
Injury, form, and the fact Barcelona was just the wrong move for him are the reasons why, and you would not be wrong in saying he never should have left Arsenal.
From the best assisting the assister ever to what he is now
Hleb :rose: for what he once was and not what he has become
:haha:
Hleb.
All because he liked Ice Cream :rose:
Probably shit flavoured ice cream as well
I remember the interview Hleb did before we played Birmingham the other year, he was pretty much pining to return, so cringe worthy.
Serves him right, the cunny.
Hleb, what a useless fuckwit
Jamies previewQuote:
I love watching Arsenal play and Arsene Wenger has done an incredible job, so I hope they have a good season, but I think he's got too much on his plate this time. The pressure is on them and this is the first time in a long time I've felt they might not finish in a Champions League place. There's nothing worse than uncertainty at a football club, but that's what's hanging over Arsenal at the moment. Robin van Persie almost single-handedly fired Arsenal into the top three last season and now their captain, their key player, has signed for Manchester United. It's made pre-season very difficult for Wenger, but this is happening every year at Arsenal now. They've seen Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri go and now Van Persie. You can't keep losing your best players every year but if you keep on letting players run down their contract until they've only got one year left this is what's going to happen. You need to get your key players on long-term contracts and if, with two or three years to go, they don't want to sign another one you have to give them an ultimatum.
Key player: New signing Santi Cazorla is a top player, a typical Arsenal player. He drifts in from wide areas and is a lovely player to watch. He was at Malaga and I'm really pleased he's come to the Premier League.
Jamie's Judgement: I think they'll be in a real scrap for fourth this season with Spurs, Newcastle and Liverpool. It's going to be hard for them this year and this could be the year they miss out.
D @AFCAMDEN
Theo Walcott expected to sign a new long-term contract with Arsenal soon. "He loves it here". #AFC.
Me.
He doesnt say anything about Spuds finishing above us
We are in a scrap for 4th place with the clubs he mentioned though
Top 3 is done and dusted already
Chelsea are going to sack RDM by xmas, u can bank on it. after they realise a fluke CL win is not a real measure of competence. We will be in the loop if we stay within 10 points by easter. If by Xmas Wenger is back telling us how great 4th place is..well.....You know the rest.
after judas quote today, that no one at arsenal is angry with him, i am fucking loving these subtle digs at him from us.
the website just saying thank you but not good luck
