The bust was one thing I never agreed with. It was symptomatic of the awe in which the board held him. It was a physical manifestation of what was wrong with the culture within this Club.
Even at the height of his success, it was inappropriate. Honours like this should never be made while someone is still in the employ of the Club.
Shows you the mentality of the dopes that were running the club at the time. No wonder Wenger thought himself unsackeable. Walk into your office and there is an effigy of you in the hallway. Only Trump does that. I doubt Bill gates has a building named after him at Microsoft.
Not sure I want the West Stand to be called 'The Peado Stand'
:ninja:
:getcoat:
The arrogance which has exuded from him over the past few years suggests he probably isn't as humble as you think. The fans dared to have an opinion when it was clear we were going backwards and he never accepted it, even now he probably still thinks he is the best man for the job.
I read today that tickets are going for extortionate prices for the Burnley game, so people do want to say goodbye respectfully but I do think he has alienated a portion of the fanbase and that's a shame.
Call him a paedo all you like, at least he's never tried grooming 2 girls from Hull.
