I'm not sure he was though neither of them particularly ingratiated themselves by the end. Sure you don't have to shake somebody's hand if you don't want but the suggestion was that Suarez had said (I am guessing privately) that he would. Kenny got a bit confused in what he was saying post match though, probably through anger towards Geoff Shreeves. I think he thought Suarez was going to but didn't know that he actually hadn't, Suarez may have acted the bigger See You Next Tuesday because it's possible he acted against the wishes of his club.
dont think evra was taht wrong in celebrating, it didnt help but he had been to anfield and booed the whole time, had more racism thrown at him during that game (monkey impressions etc) booed the whole time and has liverpool going on about how suraez is victim and yet to recieve an apologly, yes he shouldnt have celebrated but in the circumstances its understandable. not right of course but you can see why.
Sky's programme on soon. Wolves vs WBA should be a proper GHELfest; local derbies.
They're both childish and pathetic. Evra was given the opportunity to react as he did and for that reason Suarez is an idiot. Frankly all the talk about the body language of who dropped their hand (of which I am guilty of as well) is clutching at straws and isn't helping things either.
What's worse though is the media reaction. It's been blown out of all proportion, whilst simultaneously covering over many, much worse, actions of ex and currant-United players.
Making this ridiculous handshake circus compulsory does nothing to promote respect. It only gets airtime when the players don't get on, like yesterday. Normally they're quick enough to go to the adverts, or a chance to show the teams.
handshake being comulsory as you say doesnt promote respect i get that. the question i have though is why did the fa cancel john terrys handshake and not this one? surely its both or none at all. no one covered themselves in glory but liverpool have been the worst throughout the whole affair, t shirts, statements etc. all could have been solved if first statement was we wont comment until we have report/evidence etc

It does seem contradictory they're saying "a line could've been drawn under it" yet are frothing at every opportunity of asking whoever they can about it. I mean, even on Sky's programme today they talked about the hullabaloo from yesterday before they talked about the game they are screening.
How was he the bigger ****? He was the one who was racially abused by Suarez, and then got a lot of abuse at Anfield and had a fan make a money gesture at him. However, he got on with the game and didn't react. And anyway, why should Suarez have such an issue with shaking Evra's hand? He's not the victim in this, Evra is. If Evra didn't want to shake Suarez's hand, I'd bet people would be up in arms and claiming Evra's playing the race card and should man up and get on with the game.
This is not meant to be slur on Liverpool FC, as I have no problem with club or it's supporters at all. Looking back at the celebration of Evra, yes perhaps he was a bit OTT, but how Evra can be seen as having behaved worse is bizarre.
And it seems that Suarez had told Liverpool he would shake Evra's hand, so he's let the club down in that regard as well.

“People are already speculating on the pre-match ceremony,” Dalglish said. “But from Luis’s point of view, we have spoken to him and I know he will shake the hand of Patrice Evra and the other Manchester United players before the game.”
We all know Evra is a ****, but Luiz who has been a prick since the world cup, showed once again how classess he really is and liverpool have no choice but to sell him for the sake of the clubs reputaion.
He agreed with his manager he shake hands and he never done it letting kenny down and LPFC down.
