I think a draw is a bad result. Basically I fear the moment we drop points, City will overtake and would be incredibly difficult to then surpass.
Podolski has looked really poor when he's played as the point man in the past for us. I don't think Gnabry should start but I would like to see him get far more cameos than he does.
I agree a draw would be a bad result given our results this month, we need to win but it will be tough.
Don't think a draw is a bad result really, Barcodes are a decent side this year.
At the moment a couple good results can put you top, while a couple bad ones could send you down to 5th. It's that tight so I wouldn't be overly concerned if we concede top spot but at the very least remain in touching distance.
Disagree, Everton played well and have taken points of many of our rivals already, so don't see why that is necessarily dropping points. Similarly with Newcastle, tricky game away where a draw is not a bad result as they already beaten United and Chelsea and given Liverpool a run for their money this season.
At home we should have beaten Everton, home games are the easier ones you want to go out and win and we were top of the league, the tougher games are the ones against the likes of Chelsea and Man City at home where you perhaps half expecting to drop points.
Let's put it another way, if we fail to beat Newcastle we'll have picked up 6 points out of 15, that would make it a dreadful December for us.
If you're counting Everton as one of our rivals we've dropped 4 points at home against them and 3 points away, I don't think that's great going seeing as home matches are the ones you're most likely to get good results in.
We've now played Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Everton at home with a return of 8 points and Man City and Man U away with a return of 0 points, so in total that's 8 points out of a possible 18 that's not great tbh. We now face all of those teams 2 at home and 4 away and in all likelyness seeing as that's harder we're likely to come out of that with less points.
On that basis and considering our position and the fact we were at home, the result against Everton was poor.
