There was a really good post on Redcafe which outlined how they've set up

Germany does it totally different to the Netherlands. They are in an own complex on a half island outside a little town. The team is living in four houses - each with six single rooms with own bath but a living area they share with each other. They mixed the groups in a very interesting way and Klose, Mertesacker, Lahm and Schweinsteiger are the leaders of the houses.
In Schweinsteiger's house he lives together with Müller, Großkreutz, Höwedes, Draxler and Ginter.
Mertesacker has Podolski, Özil, Khedira, Boateng and Zieler.
Lahm is together with Neuer, Hummels, Kramer and Durm.
And Klose lives together with Weidenfeller, Götze, Kroos, Schürrle and Mustafi.
The groups are pretty good mixed with members of the different club teams - and you have them very much mixed when it means starters, subs and maybe players that do not get many minutes or probably none. Like this you get everybody together.
The most interesting house probably is Schweinsteiger's in which there is Großkreutz together with Schweinsteiger and Müller plus the two Schalke players.
Some of the girlfriends and wifes are living in a town 30 km away but only get to see their partners in the free afternoons after the matches. Some of the women will only go to Brazil starting with the final stages and some probably do not go at all like Müller's wife who has a lot own tournaments during the next weeks.

But I guess not all of the families of the Netherland players are in Brazil. Robben leaves his kids at home because he thinks it is too dangerous and like this his wife will not be in Brazil too much either.

About the shape. There was an interview with Müller prior to the tournament in which he told that he was a lot fitter than he has been in 2010. And as he had 47 sprints on Monday in 80 minutes (in the normal Bundesliga matches he has about 25 to 30) that probably shows.
It was interesting to see how they saved energy during the matches to sometimes accelerate the speed again - and that they used all kind of breaks to drink with the bench players really trying to be of help for that... It is all that little things...
For being a house leader
And interesting to see all the Arsenal boys in one house.
BFG.
He's so slow!
Manuel Neuer. You never see he and Miranda Sawyer together...
