Lucas is out long term with a knee injury (cruciate?), I can't find any specific article about it but I have read somewhere between 6-9 months. Big blow for them, he has been much, much improved in the last year or so. Also, Jonjo Shelvey has been recalled from his loan spell with Blackpool so it has to be long term.
Wow - he was turning into a bit of a fans' favourite wasn't he? Was given MOTM against Chelsea (or Man City?...I don't know, one of the big games I watched) in the league IIRC.
It would be typical if it was a long-term injury - which it would seem to be - because he has been very good this season. Probably our best player this season, even though some still wouldn't like to admit it.
