The screen shot shows a bet placed on Luis Suarez to bite an opponent in Brazil, in which the punter had put 32 Norwegian Krone on (roughly £3) at 175/1! A generous price if you ask me! Returns are roughly £525. He'll be dining like a king tonight.
"These things happen in the box"
- Suarez
Only when you're in the box, Luis

Just when he rebuilt himself after the Ivanovic one
Pure madness. What the hell is he thinking when he does this sort of thing?
Cookie!!
Suarez :haha:
Wtf is wrong with him?
Ban him from club football for a year + aswell
He should be required to receive some sort of therapy before being allowed back. Something is clearly wrong with the guy.
I'm not sure receiving help would even work, this is just the kind of knuckle dragger he is and always will be.
There's a difference between knuckle-draggers and actual loonies though. Generally knuckle-draggers do so because they have no discernible talent so they make up for it with thuggery (and strangely get lauded for it in the English press while Wenger gets called a whining ninny for picking them up on it). But Suarez doesn't need to do things like this, he's one of the best players in the world. He's just a complete hat-stand.
No TV and no beer make Luis... something something...
:d

Tran Dinh Dong, banned for 28 games.
And Ruben Rayos, dubbed the worst tackle in the history of football. Happened recently.

Ever heard of either player?
Chiellini will most likely survive. But perspective won't.
I see mega mouth Scholes has chimed in again. Respected for his professionalism and staying out of the media during his playing career he's sure making up for it now. Can't shut the bloke up. At least Suarez may distract him from slaughtering Hack for a while.
I'm sure you think you are making a good point :good:
If your point is "there are worse things going on in the world" then yes, obviously there are. By that rationale let's not bother with any of the World Cup because there are more important things going on.
If your other point is "there are worse things going on in football" then yes, obviously there are. But, as they say, two wrongs don't make a right. Those horror tackles are...well, horrible. But one was in the Vietnamese League, the other in the Greek Super League. Relative to most of the big European leagues they're very low profile so while both players deserve condemnation and lengthy bans, neither are hugely in the public eye so it's never going to be a huge worldwide story.
Suarez is the star player for a side who nearly won the EPL last year, a league watched widely throughout the world. He's widely rated as one of the best players in the world right now and in a World Cup game - a tournament watched worldwide - the silly sod goes and bites an opposition player. And it's the 3rd time the crazy bastard has done it in his career. Obviously it's going to attract a lot of press attention and condemnation.
So what point are you actually trying to make?
PS: "In my career I have never been involved in a situation like this, I did not intend to do any harm, I have contacted Rafi to know his condition, I am very affected by this." - Rayos
Shawcross
I think the point he's trying to make is that FIFA and the refs are corrupt and that it's all Man City and Chelsea's fault :good:
You just made it for me.
The circus is connected to the occasion and the player, not the actual incident. "He should be banned forever!" Why? Because of who he is and where he did it, not because of what he did. In other words, fuck blind and proportional justice, let's get a lynch mob formed. It's laughable how these conditioned emotional responses can be so easily elicited. Jump, but how high? How should we fuck off, messiah?
Of course he shouldn't be banned forever, he shouldn't even get a lengthy ban because I bet there's fuck all in the rules that warrant it. The proper place to deal with this is a court, if the Italian bloke is that bothered. The wise heads were going on about him last night as if he'd been raped. It was ludicrous but funny as hell too I suppose. I'm looking forward to the psychiatrists chipping in, those loons are always good for a laugh.
Sure thing, you can't go around biting people on a football pitch or anywhere else, there should be sanctions if you do that sort of shit. But if we're so keen to uphold principles in this respect then tell me, how comes Blatter isn't in jail? Why are we missing on that issue? Why is it so easy to get a lynching party together for Suarez's comparatively trivial offence that has "shamed" the World Cup when the bastards who have fundamentally corrupted it on almost every level are being wined, dined and bribed? Why don't we just shut up about the trivial stuff if we don't have the balls to mention the important stuff? Answer is obvious but it's always worth asking the question.
UNCONFIRMED RUMOUR: Luis Suarez is getting a 9 game ban from FIFA and 4 month football ban. See the Uruguayan journalists tweets

Got to be honest, I'd still want to sign him.
Seems confirmed:
DISCIPLINARY: Uruguay’s Luis Suarez suspended for 9 matches & banned for 4 months from any football-related activity.
Should've been longer :haha:
