The Brownlee brothers are competing in two weeks too!
Novak should have the edge in the US open being as he went out of the Olympic competition so soon.

Depends if all those tears broke his circuitry.
I think "they" were saying he's a doubt for the open, but I would not be surprised if he's able to regenerate like Borg before then.
Andy isn't look too great tonight, bit of a slow start.
I don't want him to, but I think he should retire, he looks like he's grimacing through every point.
Then he breaks Tomic in the first set 3-2
First set 6-4!
Murray wins 6-4, 6-4
Murray playing Raonic in the semi-finals tonight. More rain delays.
Raonic looking pretty good after losing his serve in the first game. Murray looks knackered again.
Murray wins the first set 6-3
Unless it's the QF or beyond I have to say fuck the US Open early rounds. Just can't do it this year :oldboy:
Dude! and I thought you needed less sleep as you got older :run:
Had the exact same thought this morning tbh.
But watching Andy and Novak flash past everyone else into the latter stages just isn't going to do it for me.
Those ten hour plus lie ins feel like a myth right now.
I think it has all the makings of a great tournament this year, but I do take your point about the ease in which Andy and Novak go through, however I'm almost certain Murray will make a meal of one or two of the rounds he plays!
Andy nearly takes the umpire out with his football skills
Should've got a warning though even though it wasn't deliberate.
I feel sorry for the ball boys and girls on hardcourts them having to dry the court with towels.
Murray is in the final 6-3, 6-3!!!
I really hope he can get the world number 1 spot!
I don't care I'm talking to myself, no one says anything about Maccy when he does it!
Still got quite a distance point wise to take first.
What I'd like to see him win his the Aussie slam. He's lost so many finals his chances are almost up now.
His learning curve (and Nadal's downfall) took him to the French final too. If he could nab a career Grand Slam that would be fitting. He has the all round game to do it.
For sure there is still a decent points gap, it's not unsalable though and Andy has said it himself how it would be such an achievement in his career.
I for one would like to see him the Aussie open too! The hardcourts are his best surface (although you could say it's almost negligible now) something doesn't seem quite right in his prep for the final there maybe Lendl can sort that out.
I do think it's a little unfair to accredit some of Andy's success to Nadal's unfortunate luck with injury and poor form, not that I mean to accuse you of doing that! I just don't think he commands the respect, for what he's done, that he deserves IMHO.
I credit him reaching the French final for the first time in allignment more with Nadal falling off. Even Sampras couldn't reach the final, so he has a great chance to win it. How Botovic comes back will determine how many more slams Andy can get. But aside from Nadal's freakish domination of the French, Murray deserves all the credit coming his way.
Kerber currently well and truly bottling the chance to become world number one. She's losing 6-3 5-1 to Pliskova in the Cincy final.
Not a great week for her.
Muzza v Cilic coming up after this.
And she has been well and truly been thrashed.
Germans and finals.
Murray up very soon :scarf:
Muzza is the best lobber ever tbh.
2-1 in the first set.
Andy
Cilic breaks for a 3-2 lead.
Not a great first set from Murray, but credit to Cilic.
Double break
Andrew Murray .
Got one of them straight back, will still probably lose the set though.
Loses the first set 4-6
I think this might be a straight sets loss tonight, disappointing, but not surprising the amount of tennis he's played!
Murray gets a time penalty for being right on the 25 seconds.
Why does it seem that no other player gets called on time violations?
Poor Andy :(
Fuck off umpire!
Umpires who want their 10 minutes of fame. Pathetic.
Strange that it would be Cilic to end the run.
Well done Cilic.
Muzza hasn't got Djokovic's ruthless robot efficiency to help him win when he's running on fumes.
