What a save.
Jenkinson .
szczeszszszsxney saved us there, fucking jenkinson.
Oh bloody hell, we are pretty crap based on what just happened
In Arsene Wenger we trust. We will sort this out and be in the top 4 easily.
Arsene Wenger
walk it off robin, walk it off!
jenkinson is crap, shouldnt have sold eboue
1-1 half time. Those wondergoals keep going in. Shite since their goal.
Arteta is garbage.
Arteta's looking next to useless again today. We needed a top quality replacement for Cesc, not a mediocre facsimile.
Awesome for the first 25 mins or so. Best football of the season. RVP.
Didn't really hammer home the advantage our play demanded.
Concede a wondergoal.
Fall to bits at the back.
Could be losing if not for Chesney being fucking awesome.
Just another day at the Arsenal.
For all you out there, this aint just about Wenger. . . . .
Apart from the first 20 minutes, Sunderland have edged this game, which shows how shite we've become, given that we're playing against a side who are in even worse form than us and in terms of quality, are a mediocre side.
How much longer can fans keep up the mantra of "In Wenger we trust"? Wenger has ruined this squad, and unless we start venting our anger at the situation, change won't happen.
Yep Artetas turning out to be the mother of all panic buys
Mata? Nope
Cazorla? Nope
Any top class replacement for the fulcrum of the team? Nope
Well here's the result
Bit unlucky to be losing IMO. You make your own luck and all that, but Van Persie's effort that hit the inside of the post and bounced across goal...that's just pure bad luck.
As Alan Smith said towards the end of the half - the experienced players must be demanding the ball at this stage and looking to charge forward. I only see Rosicky doing that after the goal. Arteta's mistake to give away the free-kick is not acceptable for a player with that much experience.
Jenkinson is not crap, at least not by our standards. He's inexperienced - big difference. But he already provides us with more than the pampered flops we have on high wages. One of whom is Theo Walcott who is a shadow of the player who joined us and has gone backwards in his development to the point of being a passenger in every game he plays. Another dreadful half from him, it's like we've been playing with 10.
We still should have been 2-3 nil up though, but we've managed to convert that to a 1-1, which is normal for us.
RvP is a cut above anything else we have. Gervinho lively but ultimately doesn't have the quality. Rosicky playing better than Arteta who has been surprisingly careless. Song doing well, probably our best player after RvP.
The defence continues to frighten the shit out of everyone as soon as the ball comes their way. Very disorganised and undisciplined. Cheseney has made a crucial save but he's only had a moderate game, making a couple of mistakes that could have cost us.
Don't know who's on the bench but Ox for Theo is a no-brainer, otherwise Arshavin on and Theo onto the transfer list unless he decides to put even the minimal effort into earning his money.
Arteta looks very ordinary and Theo is near non exist. We definitely need much better players in midfield to partner Rosicky and Song. :coffee:
Jenkinson's not ready to play at the top level, but it's not his fault ******* has decided to throw him in at the deep end and refused to sign an experienced right back to replace Eboue. The mistake he made which almost cost us was bad, but did you notice how he had no options to pass the ball to? Where were the midfielders ready to receive the ball from him? There are so many cowards in this team at the moment, with no one willing to take responsibility.
And where the fuck is Oxlade? Why's he not on the bench? Wenger is such an idiot these days, making mistake after mistake and yet we still have some supporters repeating the tired of mantra of "In Wenger we trust". Then you'll get some fans repeating the corporate BS spin about how we're a self sustainable business, our turnover is healthy, we're selling the Highbury flats, profits are high etc etc. My message to them is that we're a FOOTBALL CLUB not a fucking business.
well that was crap. without a simply stunning world class save we should be losing, by am i glad we have chesney
Can anyone remember Walcott doing anything productive in this half? Now that Sunderland are going to play deep, you can be sure that he's going to do sweet FA again, because he struggles to find space and to play with intelligence, which is what yo need to break a team down.
The atmosphere is non-existent. I know we're not the most vocal fans anyway but there's something very detatched about the team and the crowd today. It's like these people have turned up expecting the worst. Some boos at HT as well, we must start the 2nd half as we did the first.
Come on Arsenal.
Should've bought Larsson for his freekicks alone!
Eboue is no better than Jenkinson and far more likely to do something outrageously stupid and costly. What's the point in crawling all over Jenkinson, a player who is still learning the game? He's made a couple of mistakes since joining but otherwise has been solid enough considering Theo's mission in life seems to be to throw him under a bus. Plus he can cross a ball which, shockingly, none of our other players can. I've already explained to everyone how the board has been profiting from selling off talent, if we have Jenkinson instead of a ready made world class alternative then go and complain to PHW or the silent yank. In teh meantime we go with what we have, and we've had a lot worse than Jenkinson in the past.
When I say top teams, I obviously dont mean Arsenal. I just wanted us to hold on to a player better than the shit kicker playing for us in that position now. And you are absolutely right that we shouldve signed someone better than Jenkinson but the evil board fucked us up. They (the board) got us Jenkinson instead of a decent RB replacement for Sagna. As it is, AW's job is difficult and then you have the board interference in his job... sucks to be AW really!
Come on you Gunners!!
Nearly an own goal. For Sunderland that is.
Gibbs hauled off, Santos on.
