Well if thats the case, then why dont they appeal?

If you think you are being falsely accused and are not guilty of something then you will fight against it wont you, and you would then in turn follow the appeal process if you still think youve done nothing wrong.

LFC have chosen to accept it, so they should act like it and apologise. Not keep going on about how they havent done anything wrong.

Why should they apologise if they don't mean it? Even if my kid is in the wrong, I won't ask him to apologise because then he is only doing it because I said so and not because he is actually sorry about anything, rendering it meaningless.

I agree.

Which is why it makes their blind stance on the situation even more open to criticism.

yes and no. at times a kid needs reminding that apologising is the right and correct thing to do, a little prompting is sometimes needed.

much the same with adults that are too proud to step down and realise when they've made a mistake.

even if it isn't meant it shows a humility much needed and more importantly just hearing the words may actually mean something to the victim.
