If we accepted £40m I'd punch Ayre in the face myself.
And of course he's a ****. Most footballers are.

You'll win nothing with *****.
I'm not sure I want any players I dislike any more than I like most of our current loy.
It's amazing you got him to sign a new deal seeing as you're shitter than us and we lose all of our best players!!
Same goes for Bale.
There must be a get out clause otherwise why on earth would he sign an extension? Why wouldn't he just run down his deal and re-sign again then if he still loves Liverpool?
The massive pay rise probably had something to do with it. Apparently he was only on about £30-40k.... not anymore he isn't.
There might well be some sort of release clause in there, no idea. If there is then I hope it's similarly massive.
I wouldn't be surprised if he gave it 1 more season with us and called it a day if we don't qualify for the CL, which lets face it is fairly unlikely.
Better than our strike optionsQuote:
Arsenal and Manchester City are keeping tabs on Stephan El Shaarawy’s situation at AC Milan, according to reports in Italy.
The promising striker has been in miserable form since the January arrival of Mario Balotelli and has only added two goals to the 14 he had hit before.
It was only two months ago that El-Shaarawy signed an extension on his contract, which now runs until 2018, but he appears to have grown unhappy at the San Siro, where he arrived in 2011, and could be on his way in the summer.
And his situation took a turn for the worst on Saturday when he was dropped from the starting line-up for the huge Serie A clash with second-place Napoli.
Reports in Italy have suggested that the 20-year-old has confided in friends that he is finding the current situation difficult which has further intensified speculation surrounding his future.
Napoli themselves are interested in El-Shaarawy and may turn to him should they sell the in-demand Edinson Cavani this summer but there is also interest in England, it has been claimed.
Arsene Wenger is expected to strengthen his forward line this summer, with the side still struggling to cope with the loss of Robin van Persie.
City, meanwhile, are expected to spend big after falling back behind Manchester United at the top of the Premier League.
Roberto Mancini is yet to buy a replacement for Balotelli while the future of Edin Dzeko is also unclear.
