Idiot.
I do understand where he's coming from. He's spent all summer preparing for this game, then literally the night before, a bid comes in for your best player(a low bid at that), who then gets a bit unsettled. I would feel a bit disrespected if I was Newcastle.
In their minds they are thinking, don't fuck up our team, because you're in panic mode, and didn't buy before the season started.
He's just creating an angle to take the heat off his side from a poor performance. They clearly would have lost even with Cabaye because, well, they're a bit shit.
This is when the bid low, unsettle player tactic works. Cabaye is as good as gone, and Newcastle will be powerless to stop it because, well... they're shit.
Seriously though, why didn't you do this on July 1?
Wouldn't he be unsettled ahead of the West Ham game had we made the same bid tomorrow? I don't think the Newcastle fans are particularly concerned with us having made a bit or not from what I have read, more concerned with how Pardew doesn't seem to have done anything to improve them from a shocker of a season.
He travelled with the team to Manchester so whoever leaked it today is the one that caused any 'unsettling'.
Yes indeed. I doubt very strongly that the bid/first contact was made when Cabaye was waiting for his bag to be taken off the team bus at 6PM tonight somehow.
Anyway, let's all have a laugh. In the highly likely event of watching the might of Stevenage FC at home, you might be tempted by the "Cheesy Chips" on the menu. Okay, they will set you back four English pounds, but look what you get for your mazoolah...:  <_<

:haha:
I'd still have it but not for £4.
