Why did Fergie buy Veron?

The next roadblock will be, Arsenal have sterner tests to come. Which means not winning them based on the other sides in the league so far I think.
:haha:
I must tell you. Football sciencetology is at an all time high at the moment.
I think we'll get a better idea where we are once we've played 1 or 2 of the best sides, if we can get a win or two we could really kick on, defeat will show we're still short though.
Personally I think we need a couple signings in January to give ourselves a good chance, Wenger doesn't tend to like spending in January though.
Defeat in one or two games doesn't really tell you anything in terms of the league, the people that try to make themselves oh so cautious by saying things like that, in the media, probably don't understand what it takes in winning games to win the thing. And plus the teams they talk about that should be ahead of us lose some of those games too!
I don't think we really need many more signings right now, I think a squad of up to 20 plus is too much. If we are signing anyone in January I would hope it is back-up players (unlikely to be anything else) or little bit talented young players.
agree with all of that Maccy bar not needing any more signings. we need a striker, if rooney/suarez/benezema are gettable in january then we have to push hard to get them. we have cover in every posistion bar striker. theo and podolski can do a job, but if we could get a real top class striker in, we walk the league home.
Well I did say presumably we are only talking in terms of back-up players, the likelihood of those being available in January is fairly slim I would say.
if united are still playing like they are now, i wonder how much rooney would fight to move accross to us if we put a serious bid in. same with saurez and benezma (who might not play as much now with bale there etc)
but lets not worry about what we could do in january or what happens when we play one of the top four, lets just enjoy it now. and since villa we have won every game we have played and now sit top of the league. long may it continue
WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE SAY WE ARE TOP OF THE LEAGUE :scarf: :scarf:
