The only player who DMd for us last year was Arteta.

Song is a very good all round midfielder, we could do a lot worse. It would be madness to sell him, it's all well and good talking about who we could replace him with, but then the same applies to every member of the team. Why stop at Song? Lets flog a few others as well, think of all the money we'd have to buy replacements.
The reason we win sod all is because there's no stability and it eventually rubs off on the players who start to think, 'well if he's fucking off then I might consider it as well'.
we should sell him to the olympic closing ceremony they could use a decent song haha lol
We've got a fuck load of CM's now. If Wenger thinks he can buy better then we should sell him, if not we should keep him. Don't think it's any more complicated than that.
Song's a bit of a jack of all trades and a master of none. He's not good enough defensively to be a pure DM and he's not good enough offensively to be an attacking CM. He's a good all round player but good players don't win you the league - great players do.
Because Song is one of our better midfielders. If he can be replaced as a frontline player, which may not prove to be so simple, then sell the crappiest midfielder we have (Ramsey or Arshavin). The overall quality of the midfield will improve.
For instance, if we found a player better than Sczeczny then we should dump Fabianski because 'GK better than Sczeczny' + Sczeczny > 'GK better than Sczeczny' + Fabianski.
So unless you're suggesting Song is our worst first team midfielder, selling him makes no sense.
