I'm sure if we can find the right player, of course, we will do it.
They do need to be better than what we have though.
Of a kind of quality we need.
Super quality, if you will.

To be fair, Alexis is hardly a Skoda. The real crime is the way everything ends up half done. Loads of good players, so play them out of position. Great start to a transfer window, so make it a farce at the end. The hint of ambition followed by the head slapping, jaw dropping Sanogo counter punch.
How can you have Ozil and Sanogo in the same team? This is what I can't get my head around at all. How can you talk about quality and then misuse the genuine quality you have while placing all your bets on the zero quality player?
Falcao would have helped us sustain a real title challenge this season. Sanogo and Bif means we battle it out for 4th. There you are. The facts.
How much were Sanchez and Ozil?
I honestly don't understand how it's all fallen apart because it seemed like we were doing good business this summer for a change, plenty on here commented about it.
And now on deadline day we're all hoping (with little real belief) that we might just do something.
I still think Wenger prioritises both player development and his personal beliefs over success, there I said it. The fact that he is shoe-horning Wilshere and Sanogo into the team tells us all we need to know.
Moreover, we have had 3 windows to buy a new striker and a few windows to buy a more defensively minded Midfielder and nothing....it's not even like we haven't gone for players, we have just ended up haggling and lowballing over those positions.
When strange and disturbing events happen, like alien invasions or zombie apocalypses, humans tend to cluster together to sympathise with and comfort each other. It's the human thing to do. So when the full horror of an Arsenal transfer window strikes it is only natural the victims will all be found huddled together, sobbing, moaning, wailing. What else would you expect?
Have I had lunch yet?
Look, when you are hungry the answer is not always to eat food.
Warwickshire's former England all-rounder Rikki Clarke: "So Manchester United have replaced Robin van Persie before Arsenal have replaced Van Persie!"
Giroud was barely good enough - in fact not good enough but I think most of us has resolved to winging it and hoping for the best. Maybe with Walcott coming back and firing on all cylinders.
The Bif gets injured and we expect Alexis to step in, even though he's not an out and out striker.
Wenger pops up and says Sanogo is a quality player and then he plays him. This is of course a catastrophe in football terms. We go from okay, maybe, just about, let's see - to oh fuck Sanogo. Everyone then expects Wenger to do the obvious and get a real striker in. Instead we watch a viable option head to the team that will challenge us for 4th.
Not surprising people are pissed. Not at all.
