Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure has sparked doubt over his long-term future at the club after admitting his affection for former employers Barcelona. The 29-year-old has been at City for just two seasons after signing a five-year contract in 2010, following a £24 million move from the Catalan club.
But, whilst the Ivorian insists that he is content in Manchester, he confessed that he still has a soft spot for his old team.Talking to Spanish radio station Ona FM, Toure said: "Barca is the most important team for me, I feel happy at City but everything could change in the next couple of years ... or days.
"I have always been a Barca fan. In England I always saw their matches, and I feel like a Catalan."
The Ivorian, who has scored 21 goals in 92 appearances for Roberto Mancini's side, also moved to distance himself from a rumoured move to Real Madrid.
He added: "Barcelona fans would be mad if they saw me at Madrid, I understand that, but now I have to rest and see what the future lies for me.
"People have been talking a lot about me and Madrid, but for me the most important thing is to win and be happy."
