But they are all superb players

If Hazard comes here we'll have signed £37mill worth of Theo Walcotts this summer - why? Any reason? And if Hazard is so amazing (I swear I think it's his name that impresses most people), why do we even have a chance of signing him? What can he do that Nasri can't and why do City prefer Nasri? Further, why sign a French CB when Chaill or Jagielka or Samba are already here in the PL and could hit the ground running? What's the point? These lot sound like more additions to Wenger's project which even he must be sensing has utterly failed. Don't know why we can't just get some PL talent in, toughen up and start the fight back immediately, why do we need to blow money that could be used constructively?
For the past 3 years the board has been saying we have £30mill top spend. Now we have the Fabregas money and the Nasri cash is on the way. Plus the same board has been boasting about profits year on year. Do you not think it would be worth it to spend on resources that stand a higher chance of yielding a return? Even if they are more expensive? We've done it the other way for years now and it hasn't worked. What have we actually saved by bargain bin shopping in Europe and South America? We can't even get rid of some of the dross we've signed, players that provide nothing to the team. Isn't that even worse than paying tax, chucking money down the drain week after week on players like Carlos Vela?
It is so easy to be critical of the price Arsenal got, but what do people expect the Club to do when there is no market value to be had because of the desire of the player to go to one place and one place only - to such an extent, he took a paycut?
We wasted two months insisting we wouldn't get shafted on the price and then got shafted on the price.
Could have gotten this pitiful 29M euros earlier and then reinvested it so that our signings would have time to acclimatize and we won't be looking for a replacement for our captain the day we play a CL qualifier.
That said, the money isn't going to be invested anyways. Can't wait till Wenger gtfo's our once majestic club.
