I mean fuck! What an amazing discovery our crack team of negotiators have made here. Who could have known it would be difficult to arrange a 92mill transfer, with a 60mill transfer going the other way, in 7 hours.

Maybe they meant to make a bid of 9.2 million, would make more sense, they withdrew the 92 million bid when they realised it was made in error.

Not sure if I trust Wenger with 92 million.

Lemar seems incredibly talented but it stinks clearly of short term desperation to quell the anger from likely losing Alexis.

But if it does go through just shows how incompetent the negotiation team are. We could have got him for ~55 million early in the summer back when Monaco hadn't sold all their stars and weren't as flushed with cash as they are now.

It was a panic measure. We tried to sign Lemar earlier in the summer so that we could sell Alexis and have him as replacement

Fucked about with low ball bid, so trying it again now. I doubt Alexis will be sold.

92m bid accepted but we pulled out cos the player wanted Liverpool to up their bid.

Weird how we bid 30m back in June and then twice upped it before saying it's dead before making a 100 euros bid!

Ornstein says city have ended their interest after we failed to find an agreement. The deal was in place as long as we found a replacement but Lamar rejected us (lol) so Alexis stays.

We are like Spurs of old these days, can't seem to attract decent talent. Turning down Arsenal (who were probably going to triple his wages) to stay at Monaco is a real slap in the face and it is a product of our terrible management.

Yep our rep is in tatters. Sad thing is we were seen as an attractive proposition after the Ozil, Sanchez & Cech signings but failed to build upon it. Our rep is damaged now, looks like players both domestically and in Europe prefer Liverpool above us. Wenger needs to just go now.
