Some people as usual make ridiculous comments without even knowing the player and I bet they have never seen him play . Kim is actually a decent player with bags of experience . He has a nice shot , hard tackles and can read the game well .
To be fair , Wenger tried to sign some other players notably : Blaise Matuidi from PSG , Vucinic from Juve , Cisse from Newcastle , Klose, Julian Draxler from Schalke ..etc but it didn't work out .

Even the mighty Monaco ,who has unlimited funds for the transfer, couldn't find a player to replace the injured Falcao . They went for the ageing Berbatov .
Man United got Mata because they paid excessive money and Chelsea did not want him and could not have turn down such an amount .

don't think the mata price was that excessive considering you know what you are getting with him in English football with the number of goals and assists he has had over the last two season.

kallstrom was quality in championship, always a top young player to buy.

I don't deny Mata is a good player . But if 37millions was a good price that could surely have triggered a bidding war and Man U could have been easily outbid by the likes of Monaco , PSG and the Russian teams .
