Given what weve just seen. Isnt it predictable what Villas tactics will and should be. Only problem is that Benteke is more lethal in the occasional chance than the Sunderland strike force. Alternatively, they can just weather it out and take their chances at penalties. The Letters cup may not be easy to win for Wenger.Quote:

Add to that the sides that have beaten us more than once and not just the big sides
Man Utd, Chelsea, Aston Villa - 3 times
Swansea - 2 times
West Ham, Hull, West Brom, Newcastle, Spurs, Liverpool, Wigan and Man City
I felt it important to mention this because when you look at the table Chelsea are 12 points ahead of us, but gained only four points more than we did away from home. It is too many dropped points at home that is the catalyst for failure to challenge, taking this season and the previous ten, teams have got a minimum of 14 home wins and usually as many as 17-18 home wins.
We have managed to get 14 or above only three times in the last ten seasons, we have never won more than 15 home league games under Wenger.
Assuming we win on Sunday (big assumption at the moment) then that would be 12 wins, 5 draws and 2 defeats from 19 games
Which coincidentally would also be our league average over the nine seasons we have been at the Emirates.
It suggests that in the main even if you don't factor in our away performances that we drop points against the same sides be that top of the table or mid table, because we lack any kind of adaptability. The playing personnel might have changed but one thing remains the same and that is Wenger.
Plenty of complaints from fans about the Emirates too. No atmosphere, no carry-over from Highbury. Was listening to Alan Davies lamenting how pointless it is trying to get an atmosphere going in the section he has been assigned. A "corporate theatre" is how he describes it. Fans were complaining about the prawn sandwich element after the Swansea game, saying they were missing 10 mins of each half in favour of sorting out their pizzas. Davies' suggestion is to open up a cheap tickets section and get some of the excluded fans back, make a new North Bank. I hear the club has also taken some sort of initiative to try and improve the atmosphere, don't know the details but I wonder how useful it can be when half the die-hard fans are locked out due to exorbitant pricing?
I think people have very short term memories, you can't create an Atmosphere artificially it has to already exist. Highbury wasn't just called the Library because it happened to rhyme.
I think we need to accept that we aren't the best bunch of fans in terms of noise (ill be honest half the time I'm not in the mood to sing and chant)
