I wonder how Leicester would fare without Vardy and/or Mahrez. But if luck is shining on them, they'll stay fit till the end of the season.
The league is more competitive and interesting this year, that can only be a good thing. Unless the manager you support had been so cramp he's taken the reigning champions close to the relegation zone and then been sacked.
As far as Mourinho's concerned, isn't there a clue in the job title? As manager, you are to 'manage' people, 'manage' their personalities and egos. He clearly hasn't been able to and he's come off this situation with far more credit than he should.
No doubt we'd behave the same as Chelsea fans if Wenger was sacked due to evident underperforming players. It isn't the first time fans have protested against a famed manager leaving- this is peanuts compared to Clough and Derby County back in 1973. Point is, they'll soon forget about Mourinho and maybe then reactionary feelings of sympathy will make way for a sober realization (particularly if he joins Manchester United as is increasingly likely)
