6 weeks takes us to mid march plus couple weeks training to build up fitness. So perhap he will be available start April. So for last 5-6 games of the season, marvellous.

Why would Spartak agree. We knew of his injury and considering he was meant to provide short term cover in midfield. why would you sign someone with any sort of injury as you need the cover now!!!!

But it's perfectly valid to criticise him for not correcting the errors of the summer by signing a striker of some sort just to provide the cover for Giroud. That's the oversight that will cost us a realistic shot at the title this year. And it's no good saying we tried hard on the last day of the window. What were we doing for the other 30 days?

I think 4-6 weeks is purely precautionary. He'll be up and mobilising and probably training with the team.
Interesting that AW feels that when you consider the stature of the player and the quality he must see something decent in him to take that chance.
We have strong midfield options don't forget and I suppose it's fine for what he'll give us.
Anyway still disappointed without a striker or winger but I can kind of begin to understand the signing.
