1-0 Kane bundles it in.
What a miss from Musiala.
2-0 Muller!
Me. :haha:
3-0 in the end, Kane with his second. Bayern through.
Real Sociedad 1-2 PSG in the end, Mbappe with his second and Merino.
City 3-1 up against Copenhagen
Real Madrid 1-1 Leipzig (for some reason I had it in my head that they were 2-0 up from the first leg, but no…Leipzig just need another goal to force extra time)
Leipzig have been good. Times like this I miss the away goals as even if Leipzig score they still might go out in ET/pels.
Mattheus Nunes with a dislocated finger, I managed to do this working at Sainsburys when I was 17 (another lifetime ago) so I sympathise
Nah as a matter of principle, I think the away goal rule is a nonsense, and not just because we’ve fallen afoul of it (from my count on at least four occasions I can think of).
Totally arbitrary….if you win 1-0 away but lose 2-1 at home, I can’t possible see the logic that suggests the team that goes through has been the better side. I can perhaps see that the other way round because the team has scored in both legs. The one decent thing UEFA did was to scrap it, yeah I can see the extra time complaint but my solution to that would be get rid of extra time and go straight to Pels…might incentivise teams to go for it in normal time
Real a bit wobbly at home at times
Lost to Juventus, CSKA Moscow, Ajax, Man City, Chelsea, Shatkah Donetsk at home in recent years
Think may well see this one out (famous last words)
Think Dortmund will comfortably go through tonight (though wouldn’t totally discount PSV)
I slightly dislike Inter less than Atletico Madrid so hope they go through…would say that’s a 50/50 tie maybe 55/45 in favour of Atletico
Dortmund 1-0 PSV, Sancho!
Atleti 0-1 Inter, Dimarco!
Atleti 1-1 Inter, Griezmann! Holy shit.
2-1 Depay now!!
What a miss. :haha:
Atletico-Inter goes to pels
Atletico win 3-2 on pels
Inter are out!
Sanchez. :haha:
Martinez. :haha:
Don’t want Atletico Madrid. I can’t be dealing with a 2 leg shithouse fest.
I’d like Barca. Still a glamour tie but they’re a much more beatable version than the one we played a few times before.
I don't want Citeh because it's boring to play an Enlgish team and also it would be all wrapped up with the title race, neither do i want Bayern because of K***, other than that i don't mind
Agree with you about City…for the reason you’ve suggested and because having to play them three times in two and a half weeks would be an utter fuck face
Bayern? Kane or no Kane…would be ok with them. Don’t think they are anywhere near as good as they were four years ago
K*** never failed to get a dodgy penalty against us and with those dodgy UEFA refs i see now reason why it would change - also just with him playing for them it would again make it feel a bit like a tie against an English side so I'd rather it was not them
Can’t say I’ve thought about it that in depth, usually when penalties were given against us when he was playing for Spurs it was Son or some other bugger diving.
Plus I can’t really recall him doing it for England…but then again that could be a bit of bias that unless it’s blatant…I’ll think it was deserved. Like the France game last year, it was a case of the penalties that weren’t given
Anyway we all have our preferences, I don’t want City or Atletico. And although I guess there’s no easy ties, I would like more of a prestige draw than Dortmund. I like Dortmund, if I lived in Germany rather than the UK I’d probably be a Dortmund fan…and would actually like to go and watch a game one day. But same time, definitely the weakest Dortmund side in 10–15 years
In Bayern watch (although bit of a stretch to call it watch, just looking at the scores) they are 4-1 up away at Darmstadt. Which sounds ominous, but in a broader context Darmstadt are at the foot of the Bundesliga on 13 points from 26 games which makes them about as pathetic as Sheffield United and Burnley combined
