TBH honest wanted the Scots to win this one. . . .fucking don of national anthems but sounds a bit gay this WC with a choir singing it. . . . .needs a horde of Piks who havent had a bath for a year, fed on a diets of oats and raw rabbit and promised every blond in Cambridge if they take up arms to be belting that one out.

I assume Scotland will have to beat England by a certain number of points to get through. How do teams get a bonus point? Certain number of tries in a match? I've only seen bits and pieces of games. Where's the next WC?
Wales won 81-7 in the end.

Right, England vs Scotland is on in 15 minutes.
Permutations for both:
Quote:
0808: And now Scotland:
A win by more than seven points = qualification as group winners and likely quarter-final against France if Argentina fail to win against Georgia. Qualifications as runners-up if Argentina beat Georgia with four of more tries.
A win by seven or less points = Elimination if Argentina beat Georgia with four tries. If both Scotland and Argentina score less than four tries in a wins then Scotland's win needs to be 15 points better than Argentina's
Draw = progress as runners-up if Argentina lose
Defeat by less than seven = progress as runners-up if Argentina lose by eight or more to Georgia.
Defeat by more than seven = elimination.
0804: First of all, England:
A win = qualification as top dogs and likely quarter-final with France
A draw = ditto
Defeat by seven or less = ditto, so long as Scotland fail to score four tries
Defeat by more than seven = elimination if Argentina score four or more tries in victory over Georgia. If both the Pumas and Scotland fail to score four tries in wins today, likely to progress on points difference.
