What a chance for Callejon.
Sporting are going to get pumped now.
Jose
This Callejon, is he from the Real youth team?
He has impressed whenever ive seen him.
Whats his favourite position?
He seems like a runner from deep to me. Great finisher generally.
And yeah he is a youth product. It doesn't get mentioned how many youth products Real Madrid have produced because they let so many go (Soldado and Mata for instance).
1-1 HT.
Salgado hasn't been impressed with Madrid.
Di Maria and Benzema on for Real Madrid. Sahin and Callejon off.
Are Sporting the Stoke of La Liga?
Pretty much.
Sangoy off, Andre Casto. Sporting are going as defensive as possible.
Freekick to Real Madrid, dangerous area. Botia booked now.
Just over from Ronaldo.
Di Maria dive.
Pablo booked.
Sporting.
de Las Cuevas off, Colunga on. I don't think Sporting will be doing any attacking in the remaining 20 odd minutes.
Higuain should've done better then.
Real Madrid 2-1 Sporting, Ronaldo! He breaks his own record for most league goals in a season.
Higuain off, Granero on.
Galvez booked. Their fifth of the night.
Ronaldo
Breaks his own record.
Best player in the world
Apparently he has 107 league goals for Real Madrid in 96 games.
Canella sent off. What a tit.
3-1 Benzema. That breaks the record for most goals in a single season. 108th of the season I think.
108? Pah.
Best La Liga team ever?
With the Best player in the world and arguably the best keeper ever?
Bar****s :rose:
Ah no it equals it, 107 they're on now. Stupid Sky commentators.
And they have to win it first. There is one other game Real Madrid have to negotiate that will really test them, Bilbao away (aside from Saturday of course).
Marcelo should've made it 4-1.
3-1 FT. Sporting messed it up for themselves when they decided to go ultra defensive. Whatever happens on Saturday, Real Madrid will be top.
Levante vs Barcelona next.
Levante: Munua, Juanfran, Cabral, Fatty Ballesteros, Pedro Lopez, Iborra, Xavi Torres, Barkero, Valdo, Pedro Botelho!, Kone.
Barcelona: Valdes, Puyol, Mascherano, Adriano, Sergio Busquets, Xavi, Cesc, Thiago, Alexis, Pedro, Messi.
Cesc starting in a must-win away game? :rose:
Now to laugh at Barca and Cesc
Is there more chance of Jose leaving if he wins La Liga, or might he stay to try and build that legacy he wants?
More importantly, do we want him to stay at Real anyway?
I really don't know. I think he has won Perez over but that's always changeable if you don't go on to win something (or even if you do). I think it's possible Guardiola and Mourinho will keep schtum until the other makes the move away.
I think Mourinho might have felt like he has done something amazing to win the league but he might want to solidify it by getting the Champions League too.
Ballesteros is no Andy Reid.
A reminder that our Pedro starts for Levante (edited the post since it was first viewed).
I want him back in England even if he takes over at Chelsea or Man City or whoever. The club he manages gets stripped of their identity because everything just becomes 'The Mourinho Show', but you'd have to admit it makes it more interesting. You have someone like Mancini...nice guy and everything but it's nice to have someone who'll show Geoff Shreeves no respect.
When all is said and done, Mourinho is one fine WUM.
A lot of room for Barca's Pedro there, surprised he didn't go for goal.
