You're quoting makes it look like I don't want any posts.

We haven't really had a marquee type signing since Arshavin, and that was four years ago! I know he hasn't worked out for various reasons, but at the time it created a real buzz around the club and made an immediate impact on the pitch.
We are absolutely crying out for something similar. AW says they are working on a couple of transfers. Obviously I'd take another last minute deal over nothing at all, but could we really not have lined someone up for the beginning of January..
It was clear long before the window opened that we needed signings. Any business (not that I expect much) done now will have been done too late. This team has been crying out for an injection of experience talent up front, in mf and defence. That there has been no activity other than the loaning out of Chamakh, is pure negligence.
The sum total of all the players bought in by those in the top seven clubs in the league amounts to Demba Ba, Daniel Sturridge and Zeki Fryers.
Still a lot of business to be done, calm down children.
You're right, I forgot how busy we often are in January.
Only signed two big players in the January window. Reyes and Arshavin. Both came very late in the window but we won't be doing anything similar this time. Maybe a cheap average player like Diame.
Thankfully, we (the club) tend to shit ourselves when top four is in danger.
I'm expecting 1-2 players, one of which will be decent. We'll see.
Guillem Balague on Revista de la Liga: Villa has tried to leave Barça. There was contact from Arsenal. Barça have said "no way".
I reckon, Arsenal tried to make contract knowing there was no chance.
Barca said no way.
Villa said thank f*ck for that.
I reckon we'll get Diame.
Apparantly his release clause is only £2.5m
Diame is definitely on his way. Mainly because we play 'Ammers tomorrow.
One of two things will happen
1) We'll sign noone and just come up with excuses
2) We'll panic buy super super quality dogshite
So barcodes have got Gouffran and Mbiwa for a combined fee of £8.5m.
Probably both 'better than what we have' and for fuck all money.
:coffee:
I'd prefer us to just go mental and sign the pubbiest pub teamer going rather than just let it pass with doing nothing.
Having Podolski back for the West Ham game will be like a new signing
Go big or go home.
No point in us fannying around buying more shit players from the French league. Leave that to Newcastle.
In case nobody has noticed: the French league is shit and so is their national team. Diaby is their best player!!
Fuck that.
We need Spaniards and lots of them. Isco, Villa etc
Maybe Wenger should go home then, because he's never going to go big.....not in the transfer market anyway!
He could retire now, take a few holidays on some of the French nudist beaches, nice and relaxing for him.
Must Get.Quote:
Brighton boss Gus Poyet says he would like to manage Arsenal or Chelsea.
Full story: Daily Star
I see those names and they are fucking shit. How Fergie gets that Man Utd team which has been shit for years to perform year in, year out is miraculous.
We as a collective organisation have lost the right to call any otger team's players shit.
It was more praising Fergies awesomeness tbh
Yeah I got ya......just thought I would add that. Just read the story about Mwbia and it think it is criminal that we have let him go and for that price, that and the price Ba went for we are the ones that are shit......I know real life is not like FM but we are really shit at this game tbf
Just give the £15m ffsQuote:
ARSENAL will attempt to land Barcelona ace David Villa on the cheap — at the end of the transfer window.
Boss Arsene Wenger is ready to make a £10million move even though the Spanish giants insist he is not for sale.
But Villa, 31, is keen on a switch to the Emirates and is ready to force his way out.
Yet Wenger, as always, is likely to leave his move until the last 48 hours of the window.
The Gunners will not pay £15m for a player of Villa’s age but they are desperate to land a striker and would pay £10m.
Arsenal face West Ham tonight and Wenger admits he is interested in their 25-year-old midfielder Mohamed Diame.
Wenger is tracking the former Wigan star, who has a £7m release clause.
The Frenchman said: “He has a great presence in the games.
“I’ve seen him in games where he’s had a big impact, for example against Chelsea where he had a big impact when he came on."

Another Must GetQuote:
MANCHESTER UNITED and Arsenal are making checks on QPR’s Brazilian keeper Julio Cesar.
Both clubs have serious goalkeeping issues and are on the lookout for an experienced No 1.
David De Gea will be replaced at United while the Gunners are losing faith in Polish stopper Wojciech Szczesny.
And SunSport has learned the two clubs have been canvassing opinion on Cesar.
He has the pedigree United boss Alex Ferguson and Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger are looking for.
Cesar, 33, spent seven years at Inter Milan where he won five Serie A titles and the Champions League.
He quit Inter because the club had to get him off the wage bill and he surprisingly moved to Loftus Road.
QPR need to get rid of either Cesar or Robert Green due to their high wages.
However, Cesar’s form is such that he has become vital to Rangers’ relegation fight.
