The only way he is staying is if he is required to honour his contract and during the course of honouring it, he picks up another injury. Following that, interest would wane and he'd know on which side his bread is buttered.

He'll be 29 when the season starts, and you could see him losing form from March onwards (and it carried into the Euros). I seriously doubt he'll recreate the form of January 2011-February 2012. well said. its all good wanting him to rot or wont cheer him etc but we support arsenal and if he scores, he scores for arsenal. i doubt very much anyone will suddenly stop cheering when they realise its him. end of the day we hav no choice on what type of characters are in our team but if they produce the goods then they produce it for the arsenal and thats all that matters at the end of the day. its arsenal i support, not rvp!
