though i do think getting a young CB in makes sense - any decent CB in their prime is not going to want to sit on the bench as 4th choice all season, whereas a youngster will accept it.

The £1 was utterly ridiculous coming from a club that is already viewed as the biggest penny pinchers in the history of everything in the whole world ever. The arseholes that run our club are clueless and don't even have the good grace to die. But true enough, listening to Rodgers whinge on every day is boring at best.
I'm not sure Brendan Rodgers can talk about class when he did this to his old club weeks after leaving.

Wrong, the supposed clause (which we now know didn't exist) was any bid over £40 million, we're the ones that bid the extra £1, thus it was a ridiculous bid, as Cripps said usually a club will bid 40.1 million or something like that.Quote:
