I hope he's bluffing. Playing right into their hands otherwise.
[QUOTE=Letters;425239]Laugh all you like, fella. All those comments are true and at some level you know they are.
Any you cant argue with some of these comments either.Seems like other teams fans have sussed wenger out also..
If there was any other manager in charge of Arsenal I would actually be nervous for this one. Considering Wenger is there I just can't. If he actually tried to play a defensive/counter attacking game I would say they had a chance but I just can't see it. He will come out guns blazing and it will leave massive holes for Fabregas, Hazard, Willian and Costa to exploit. If we have our shooting boots on I can see us scoring freely.
It's because Arsenal NEVER adapt to playing us, and you know if they play like they normally do they will leave themselves extremely vulnerable to counter attacks.
the issue with these comments is with who they come from, Chelsea fans are deluded some honestly believe they would be where they are now without Roman Abramavich's money...where in fact they'd be in the same situation as Leeds United now without it. In fact the way both City and Chelsea were going without their financial benefactors i am confident both would have been relegated from the premier league.
We don't have a chance today, even if we played tactically differently we don't have the players with the discipline to sit back and soak up Chelsea pressure....we are either going to defend all game and lose 1 or 2 nil or try and play chelsea and get hammered, that is undeniable. But I resent the notion that Chelsea fans seem to regard their club as something special, to be fair the returns on the owners huge investment hasn't actually been that impressive.
There is not a club in the premier league that could spend what they have and not win what they have, i think the same applies to many clubs in the championship....
I remember at the start of last season when we played Chelsea in the League cup I actually thought we would beat them. We had finally added some resilience to our team, the Mertecielney partnership was blossoming and we finally looked like we could adapt our game and scrap when we didn't have the ball. Then Wenger said the key to beating them was to keep the ball and have more possession, and I knew we wouldn't win. He doesn't learn.
I'm not expecting another 6-0 as we'll be keen to put last season's result behind us but I can't see us winning.
So basically he doesn't know what's wrong with his tactics, or how to change his game plan against a counter attacking team.Quote:
