Don't think we can discount Chelsea in terms of winning the league tbh. United and City don't look particularly fluent this season.

I imagine villatalk has imploded.
And Rors.
I hope his legs actually come off.
Just seen the Chelsea-Villa score.
Villa. :haha:
Lamberk. :haha:
Ashley Williams.
Villa are shocking. Maccy, any word from Rors? I hope he hasnt topped himself.
Williams is awlsome
I'm with Rors right now, he's ok surprisingly. Suppose it's only a couple of days before they beat the Spuds at WHL.
 villa
no good nicking points off teams around you like they did against liverpool only to destroy that hard work by shipping 8 the following week.
 awful team.
Wait sir c*ntalot actually said that?
what a ****!
wenger calls for a player to be banned for life after a shocking tackle shattering his strikers ankle. media laugh at him.
fergie calls for a player to be banned for life for kicking a ball at the judas ****, media dont hammer him like they did to wenger.
plus we are ignoring a simple issue here, rvc deserved it for being a judas **** :coffee:
Are you saying he deserved to die?
He'd have gone to heaven anyway

There's been an attempted murder!
He deserved to be at risk of serious injury just for leaving a football club?? I'm not a fan of his but that's a bit OTT. We criticise Shawcross for his act of violence against Ramsey but praising Williams for being a thug? I know we're football fans and we look at things through rose tinted specs but still...
And Fergie has been laughed at for claiming he could have died (which is absurd). Even Utd fans on Redcafe are embarrassed.
serious injury from a football in the face? behave, that wouldnt have done anything bar move a few hairs out of place. he was at no risk of serious injury or even injury.
id argue that guy he elbowed in the face against newcastle was more at risk of injury, but fergie wont comment on that :coffee:
If you get a ball belted at you from point blank without being prepared for it, you probably could sustain a neck injury.
However Fergie's comments are absurd and it's RVC which means it's pretty funny tbf.
According to a former Premier League physio there could have been serious damage

It's unlikely that being hit by the ball could have killed Van Persie. But being struck that hard from such a short distance could have knocked him out. I’ve seen players knocked out by free-kicks struck from 10 yards away.
If you are unconscious, there is then a risk of trauma to the brain. A blow that fierce is like being hit in boxing - the damage is unpredictable. It can lead to internal bleeding and permanent damage, or there can be just an aching head.
you can also have a chance of being killed by having some nutter kung fu kick you in the face with football boots on, or kicking a football boot into your face. fergie claims that this could have killed him and was worse thing to happen on a pitch for years and years, yet he happily kicked a boot into one of his players face, which caused more damage, and wasnt far away from blinding beckham then a ball to the head.
if there is a chance a ball to the head could kill, then take heading out of football and introduce a rule saying the ball isnt allowed above shoulder height.
Of course it's an overreaction from ORN, but it's all part of his attempt to distract from his team's poor performance, not least Rooney who by all accounts had a shocker. And by the look of things it's working as well. He believes it no more than anyone else. He's right to be angry, but "he could have been killed, won't someone please think of the children" routine is a bit far. Just as it's a bit of a stretch to sarcastically suggesting banning headers.
That's not to say I don't think it wasn't deliberate though, because it probably was. At the very least if I'd accidentally smashed someone in the head from a yard I'd be immediately apologetic, not confrontational. And it's not exactly good timing what with his quotes about Suarez; it doesn't exactly cast him as a "he's not like that" kind of guy, in fact he seems like a complete dick.
But as he picked his target well, I say congratulations. You're the envy of many millions.
