City are awful.
Worst title defence ever.
City are awful.
Worst title defence ever.
Clichy hauled off, Lescott on. Why, I don't really know.
Spuds 3-1 Citeh, FT.
We stay five points behind Citeh.
This is a bitter result.
Can't see us finishing ahead of the scum after this. Just can't see it.
Pretty much what we deserve with our **** owner, Board, CEO and manager.
A highly toxic mix the lot of them, who's sold us out for profits.
Citeh :haha: :haha:.
Money well spent.
Mancini .
Well done City, you useless fucks.
Bros we just won our last game. I guess this would annoy you less if it wasn't a comeback victory. Fair play. But at least cheer yourselves up for the Agent Rafa show.
Awful awful result for us.
whatever happens now, it's a far better scenario than seeing united win the title with rvp smiling his dutch mug about the place at the emirates.
this result now makes our home game much less of a worry.
Rafa got a massive cheer as he got off the bus.
Torres.... didn't.
Why can't you see it, because they were so good?
They beat a city side that hardly got out of their own half second half despite creating nothing in the way of chances before the first goal
If we don't finish 4th we will have to look purely to team selection, especially on tuesday night
Liverpool: Reina, Johnson, Carragher, Agger, Jose Enrique, Gerrard, Lucas, Downing, Henderson, Coutinho, Suarez.
Subs: Jones, Assaidi, Sturridge, Coates, Shelvey, Coady, Skrtel.
Chelsea: Cech, Azpilicueta, Ivanovic, Luiz, Bertrand, Ramires, Mikel, Mata, Oscar, Hazard, Torres.
Subs: Turnbull, Lampard, Moses, Ferreira, Terry, Ba, Benayoun.
Referee: Kevin Friend (Leicestershire)
Come on Agent Rafa. :scarf:
It's pretty irritating that Bale despite doing nothing other than diving or losing possession or hitting the ball like a retard was so influential in the three goals. Don't think you can even argue that Spurs broke them down and deserved to win in the end, it was just an utter capitulation from Man City.
So Van Persie will walk into the Emirates to a guard of honour as a Premier League champion, and then score to send us out of the CL. Beautiful.
City's summer transfer spending has clearly been influenced by financial fair play coming in, they are still desperate to take on their wage bill and instead of the Van Persie's (on 200k a week at United....don't tell me he didn't go for money), Edison Cavani's etc....they were stuck with the Jack Rodwell and Scott Sinclair purchases.
They have a defence which though sturdy is slow, they have lost their most influential midfielder to injury in David Silva and frankly Mancini's not a very good manager and has seemed to have deliberately stirred up tension in his own dressing room
An FA Cup is rather inconsequential for what the owners have been trying to achieve and the backing they've had in being able to do that. 13 points behind wth the title decided in April is terrible. Then again, maybe it's not that much of a shock given they only won the league on goal difference when they were apparently outstanding.
People have been praising Mancini for what will be 3 trophies in the last 3 seasons so I don't think it's that bad tbh especially considering what came before. It's not a great season but they're in the CL and will have a trophy for the trophy cabinet.
Yeah I'm sure most people at City don't think the season would qualify as a success at all, but getting a trophy at the end of it (no matter that the FA Cup probably doesn't rank as high on their list of priorities) means that it's now 3 seasons in a row where they've won a trophy, and they've maintained that winning habit which will probably stand them in good stead for next season.
With City it's strange. Abramovich would've gotten rid of Mancini LAST season after their early CL exit. Sheikh Mansour stayed with him, and it paid dividends. This season, again, plenty of opportunities to sack Mancini, but nothing of it. It may prove fruitful again, with the capture of the FA Cup.
Will they get rid of Mancini close season? Or are they actually looking at the market and waiting for a better manager than Mancini to come along? Either way, compared to Abramovich, the way the Sheikhs are going about it is commendable.
As for van Persie, if it IS to be believed, then City were willing to pay him 300k/week, but he didn't want to sell his soul entirely....
